You Won’t Believe This Article From The Guardian

Last Thursday, the Guardian ran an article with the title ‘Face masks make people look more attractive, study finds’

It begins:

There have been precious few positives during the Covid pandemic but British academics may have unearthed one: people look more attractive in protective masks. Researchers at Cardiff University were surprised to find that both men and women were judged to look better with a face covering obscuring the lower half of their faces.

Oh really, you think? I don’t consider anyone wearing a face-nappy attractive.

In what may be a blow for producers of fashionable coverings – and the environment – they also discovered that a face covered with a disposable-type surgical mask was likely to be deemed the most appealing.

Dr Michael Lewis, a reader from Cardiff University’s school of psychology and an expert in faces, said research carried out before the pandemic had found that medical face masks reduced attractiveness because they were associated with disease or illness.

Exactly.

“We wanted to test whether this had changed since face coverings became ubiquitous and understand whether the type of mask had any effect,” he said.

“Our study suggests faces are considered most attractive when covered by medical face masks. This may be because we’re used to healthcare workers wearing blue masks and now we associate these with people in caring or medical professions. At a time when we feel vulnerable, we may find the wearing of medical masks reassuring and so feel more positive towards the wearer.”

The first part of the research was carried out in February 2021 by which time the British population had become used to wearing masks in some circumstances. Forty-three women were asked to rate on a scale of one to 10 the attractiveness of images of male faces without a mask, wearing a plain cloth mask, a blue medical face mask, and holding a plain black book covering the area a face mask would hide.

The participants said those wearing a cloth mask were significantly more attractive than the ones with no masks or whose faces were partly obscured by the book. But the surgical mask – which was just a normal, disposable kind – made the wearer look even better.

Sounds like fabricated virtue-signalling BS to me.

“The results run counter to the pre-pandemic research where it was thought masks made people think about disease and the person should be avoided,” said Lewis.

“The pandemic has changed our psychology in how we perceive the wearers of masks. When we see someone wearing a mask we no longer think ‘that person has a disease, I need to stay away’.

You think? That is exactly what the fearmongering has created in the minds of the indoctrinated, frightened muzzle-wearers.

“This relates to evolutionary psychology and why we select the partners we do. Disease and evidence of disease can play a big role in mate selection – previously any cues to disease would be a big turn-off. Now we can observe a shift in our psychology such that face masks are no longer acting as a contamination cue.”

Lewis said it was also possible that masks made people more attractive because they directed attention to the eyes. He said other studies had found that covering the left or right half of a face also made people look more attractive, partly because the brain fills in the missing gaps and exaggerates the overall impact.

The results of the first study has been published in the journal Cognitive Research: Principles and Implications. A second study has been carried out, in which a group of men look at women in masks; it has yet to be published but Lewis said the results were broadly the same. The researchers did not ask the participants to spell out their sexual orientations.

I thought I’d seen some dross from the Guardian, but this really is scraping the barrel.

It is incredible how brainwashing by the ‘scientists’ affiliated to big pharma inducements and govt “recommendations” continue with the most absurd theories!

Want to make yourself more attractive? Put on a mask!

Smiling has disappeared from the human expression of emotions, to be replaced by mufflled sounds. Oxygen deprivation seems voluntary and recycling your own pathogens is virtue signalling.

When will people wake up?

The Guardian’s next article should be that the burka makes women look more attractive.

You are spot on! When masks first came out, along with closing pubs & churches, and stopping church bells, it all fit in by remarkable coincidence with Islamic laws in Muslim countries. They were delighted to have this new way to force western women to cover their faces. And western women complied, without even realising the true significance of what they were doing.

    Thanks Andy.
I don’t believe anything from the guardian anyway, but it’s just indoctrination, which those ponces don’t surprise me with.

Perhaps a rottweiler with a face mask could take the place of a poodle for some?

wearing the masks the SECOND YEAR in the raw in the covid CRIME-demic, damaged the human brain to such a level, that HUMANS are now ready to accept their new MONKEY-look with the masks on, as the ‘new normal’. THAT’S AN UNEXCUSABLE CRIME done on the human mind!

Ugly people always look better when you can’t see their faces. You must have heard of the two bag rule.

Of course it is, that’s one of the aims of the globalists to dehumanize us, and turn us into obedient little Communists.

Guardian was one of the perpetrators of the “Leave it in the Ground” campaign; But maybe have noticed that if it’s still in the ground you can’t burn it; but luckily it is still possible. They also support the idea that to encourage use of electricity, we only have to prohibit gas for heating. Evidently where the extra electricity comes from is not their problem. I believe it’s called Supply Side, which could do with some massive research campaigns to find suitable sources to replace the failed original sins of sun and wind. There’s plenty of money available for such work, and the hundreds of safe reactors in ships mean we have a head start in some fields.

Mask-a-titus is the result of fear of dying, fear of not fitting in, fear of going against the crowd, fear of not stooping to the demands of the TV morons or fear of looking in the mirror. If the creators had intended for anyone to become a mask-a-teer, you would have been born with a mask on. But you were likely provided with a most wonderful creation that big pharma and the medical mafia can never replace…an immune system that protects you quite well when you don’t interfere with it.

My 90 year old aunt passed out twice last year from wearing masks. Her blood-oxygen level went all the way down to 78. When she took that thing off, it shot back up to 95 in less than 30 minutes. For those with weaker lungs (kids, elderlies and sick), masks could do more harm than good.

    Hi Oxie,

Do you realize that your conclusion “masks could do more harm than good.” implies that they do some good.?

    Have a good day, Jerry

Anyone that truly believes that human faces are more attractive when covered with a mask are truly self-loathing creatures. The human face is a representation of us as individuals. The globalists want to erase our individual rights and our personal identity. Fight back, or prepare to lose everything.
