Well presented statement. NO screaming or finger pointing, just asking for a new road forward. I particularly liked the comment that all he wanted was his boys to be able to be boys and have the opportunity that he had. I suspect that really is the position of most people when they stash the fear mongering and listen to their hearts when they think of their children.

Regarding why Italy was so hard hit by this virus, we rarely hear how there are about 300,000 Chinese workers in Italian factories, factories/brands bought by the Chinese but still want the product Made in Italy. These workers came back to Italy after holiday over the New Year in China and supposedly brought the virus with them.

What was the percentage of these workers that got sick? I really suspect that most of the deaths in the elderly in Italy was from the flu and pneumonia, not COVID, especially if there was any “incentivizing” offered if you were dealing with COVID patients.
