UN Warns Heatwaves Will Kill Millions By End Of Decade

Be afraid. Once the coronavirus pandemic is done and dealt with, a United Nations report warned Wednesday that searing, unrelenting heat could lay waste to large swathes of the planet, killing millions who have no means to escape a massive climate change event.

The grim climate tidings are contained in a draft U.N. report that predicts dire consequences for billions if “global warming continues unchecked,” updating earlier climate models that suggested it would take nearly another century of unabated carbon ‘pollution’ to spawn heatwaves exceeding the absolute limit of human endurance.

Now unprecedented killer heatwaves are forecast to be on the near horizon, according to a 4,000-page Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) study, as seen by AFP before its scheduled release in February 2022.

AFP reports work of the U.N.’s climate science advisory panel paints a frightening — and deadly — picture for a warming planet, providing yet another set of warnings to add to those that have gone before.

Earlier this year John Kerry, whom President Biden appointed as the United States special presidential envoy for climate, said in an interview with the BBC only nine years remain to save the planet from destruction, as Breitbart News reported.

If the world warms by 1.5 degrees Celsius — 0.4 degrees above today’s level — 14 percent of the population will be exposed to severe heatwaves at least once every five years, “a significant increase in heatwave magnitude”, the report says.

Going up half a degree would add another 1.7 billion people.

Ultimately, high heat will destroy more lives indirectly rather than by reaching levels at which the body simply shuts down, the IPCC report suggests.

Higher temperatures will spread disease vectors, reduce crop yields and nutrient values, slash labor productivity and make outdoor manual labor a life-threatening activity while starving populations multiply across the planet.

In all, it says the climate crisis is real and must not be ignored, now or most certainly not in the near future.

PSI editor’s note: Principia Scientific International does not believe carbon dioxide has any measurable effect on temperature at all, not least because all the ice-cores show temperature changing first.

Also, all the alarmist predictions of future heat use the most extreme computer model results, known as RCP8.5, which even the IPCC says is the least likely to happen. And that assumes CO2 does drive temperature, when the ice core data shows it does not.

We also have a hard time equating claims of ever-increasing warming with real-world observations such as has happened on Greenland three times this year.

Readers may recall the large amount of snow that fell on Greenland between the 8th to the 12th of August last year during the summer melt season, as seen below in this image I saved from the Danish Meteorological Institute.

Well, on May 25th this year, Greenland saw another sudden large amount of new snowfall, as seen in the image below from the Danish Meteorological Institute below. Coming right at the start of the summer melt season, this was unusual.

What happened the following day, however, was totally unprecedented, and quite literally off the charts. At least 12 billion tons of new snow fell. Looking at the archive of the Danish Meteorological Institute’s records going back to 1958, nothing like this had been seen before.

Then on June 24th and 25th, it happened again, as seen below, going well outside what would be expected for the time of year.

With this in mind, it is difficult to see how claims of ever-increasing warming can be taken seriously, but we are expected to just accept it without question.

The fact the IPCC released an early draft of their report eight months before its official release date of next February indicates it is going to be filled with fabricated data, distortions and probably outright lies.

Be afraid. Be very afraid; of indoctrinated climate alarmists spreading their dangerous fearmongering. This is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on Mankind alongside COVID19.
