Top Scientist Mocks the Idea that Covid Came from Animals

Prof. Chandra Wickramasinghe is a Sri Lankan-British astronomer, astrobiologist and co-proponent with the late Sir Fred Hoyle of the theory of cometary panspermia. As well as explaining panspermia the eminent professor mocks the claim that the covid virus came from animals.

Professor Wickramasinghe is a pioneer of the new science of astrobiology, and is a prolific writer both of technical scientific papers as well as popular expositions of his ideas. His total count of technical journal papers exceeds 400, and some 60 of these have appeared in the journal Nature.

Chandra was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1939, and received his early education at Royal College, Colombo and the University of Ceylon. In 1961 he went to Cambridge, UK, where he began his life-long collaboration with Sir Fred Hoyle.Recent books include: Cosmic Genetic Evolution (Academic Press), Diseases from Outer Space, A Journey with Fred Hoyle, The Search for Our Cosmic Ancestry, Where did we come from? (World Scientific Publishing Singapore), and Our Cosmic Ancestry in the Stars (Inner Traditions USA).

He was a Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge from 1963-1973, Professor at University College Cardiff and Cardiff University from 1973-2011. Currently he is an Honorary Professor at the University of Buckingham UK, and also at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka, and an Adjunct Professor at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka.

    Hi PSI Readers,

I had never read about the theory of cometary panspermia. So I Googled it and discovered an abstract of which Prof. Chandra Wickramasinghe was the first author listed. This abstract began: “A range of astronomical observations are shown to be in accord with the theory of cometary panspermia. This theory posits that comets harbor a viable biological component in the form of bacteria and viruses that led to origin and evolution of life on Earth. The data includes (1) infrared, visual and ultraviolet spectra of interstellar dust,”

I have a 2021 Calendar of images observed by the Hubble Space Telescope. The image for November is of the Crab Nebula. Which I conclude must be an example data (1) referred to by the professor.

Michael Clarke, a mathematical genius, and I have questioned what the source of this ‘visual colored light’ being emitted from this ‘interstellar dust’ is??? For in the same Hubble Space Telescope image we can clearly see the white light of stars which we understand.

For Michael and I know that Genesis begins: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. [about which Michael and I don’t claim to understand any more than that it was written (spoken) long ago] And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night”. And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.” (NIV)

Micheal is quite old and had health problems. So I don’t know if he is still living, but if he is, I am certain he would like read the professor’s theory what source of colored light from this space dust actually is. For we both were clueless the last time we discussed the images of Hubble Space Telescope. For we do not question the validity of these images. We only don’t know the source of this VISIBLE LIGHT!!!

    Have a good day, Jerry
