Tidal Pumping & Geothermal Heat Drive Changes to Weather & Climate

In this paper published by Principia Scientific International, I argue that mainstream climate science has overlooked key astrophysical and geothermal forces in its attribution of climate change to human activity.
Tidal Pumping & Geothermal Heat Driving Changes To Weather & Climate (PDF) challenges the dominant narrative of anthropogenic climate change, asserting that natural forces — particularly tidal pumping and geothermal heat — are more significant drivers of Earth’s weather and climate systems.
Tidal pumping, commonly observed on moons of gas giants like Jupiter’s Io, is described as gravitational stress from celestial bodies that deforms planetary crusts, fueling volcanism.
Government climate science still does not correctly assimilate the role of geochemical reactions deep within Earth, including those that may generate abiotic hydrocarbons, contributing further to natural heat and carbon release.
CO2 feeds the plants. We could use more.
Tidal Pumping is the very well known Astrophysical phenomenon wherein the gravity of a large celestial body “pumps” or squeezes a smaller celestial body to drive tectonics and volcanism. Most specifically, submarine volcanism and hydrothermal geysers at shallow depths warms the ocean surface and drives the weather. Extended climatic events are driven by gravitational influences from outside our solar system driving “Instability of the Solar System”. Radcliffe Waves, Clouds of Baryonic Matter, and Black Dwarfs. Anything with gravity but no radiation signature.
Miyake events with extreme solar storms and cosmic ray bombardment also have climate impacts by seeding cloud formation and destroying ozone. These events are the likely cause of the abrupt climate changes in the Younger Dryas. Temperatures rose and plunged +/- 24 F within 50 years.
The guys that cooked up the “CO2 is a bad guy” thingy screwed up in handling water in their analyses. For purposes of his analysis, Svente Arrhenius (1896) fixed global absolute humidity at 10 gm/cu meter. Gilbert Plass (1956) did not consider the effects of water in his analysis at all. Yet we are the Water Planet!
I’ve submitted to present my paper at the December meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in New Orleans. I’ll probably be turned down because I don’t have a PhD from the Wizard of Oz.
As the Earth passes through the Winter Solstice (Dec. 21) and makes its closest approach to the Sun (the Perihelion, approx . Jan. 4) the gravity of the Sun sets up a pronounced drag force across the South Pacific. With Earth’s rotation, the Pacific plate is dragged from east to west.
As the Sun’s gravity tugs open the Galapagos Triple Junction (Galapagos Hot Spot) the water is seismically heated, as evidenced by warmer sea surface temperatures stretching from the Galapagos out into the Central Pacific. This phenomenon is the El Niño. The deep water fish (anchovies) from the Humboldt current are briefly chased upward to provide a bonanza for the fishermen.
El Niño. The Child. The fish bursting the nets. A Gift from the Child — right around Christmas time. However, an extended El Niño and continued warming will kill the fish.
In the western Pacific, the Pacific plate subducts beneath the Australian plate at the Tonga Trench so we have a complimentary hot spot which drives the La Niña.
We have a divergent system (rifting) at the Galapagos Triple Junction and a convergent system where the Pacific plate subducts beneath the Australian plate.
The terrible flooding of Hurricane Helene as well as the deadly floods in Texas were the result of the massive Tonga-Hunga submarine volcano on Jan. 15, 2022 plus continued submarine volcanism in 2024 and 2025.
Typically, there are 50 to 70 volcanic eruptions on land per year (subaerial volcanoes). We had 80 in 2024 and just in the first six months of 2025 we have had 54. If that is the activity on land, submarine volcanism is far greater. Hotter water, more evaporation, more precipitation. Hurricane Helene, snow in Saudi Arabia, snow coats the beaches of Brazil and Argentina, and heart-rending floods strike Texas with good ole boys in duck boat pulling kids out ‘ the water.
Almost certainly there are other gravitational influences driving this increased seismic activity, probably from outside our solar system and altering the orbits of the other planets. Radcliffe Waves? Clouds of baryonic matter? A Black Dwarf? I’ll leave that for smarter guys to figure out.
We observed the Total Eclipse on April 8, 2024. There was an unusual proximity of the Sun, Jupiter and Venus pulling in the same direction. The Richter 4.8 earthquake struck northern New. Jersey on April 5, 2024 due to the combined Tidal Pumping influence of these celestial bodies.
In conclusion, we must insist there be a reassessment of government climate science, favoring astrophysical and geothermal explanations over anthropogenic CO₂ models, and chastise the political and scientific establishments for ignoring these fundamental forces.
