Surge in double-jabbed Scots being admitted to hospitals
ALMOST 300 double-jabbed Scots have been admitted to hospital with Covid over the past month, official figures show.
Stats from Public Health Scotland revealed 288 admissions of people who were fully vaccinated between June 5 and July 2.
The weekly number more than trebled from 38 in the seven days to June 11, to 129 in the week to July 2.
There were also 111 hospital admissions of people who’d had one jab in the last month, including 43 in the most recent week – more than double the 17 in the seven days to June 11.
A total of 27 people who’ve had two doses of the vaccine have died – however this was less than 0.001 per cent of all fully-vaccinated Scots.
The World Health Organisation said that while two doses would offer the best protection against Covid, there “is a chance that someone could fall ill” as no vaccine is 100 per cent effective against the virus.
A WHO spokesman said: “Some breakthrough infections are regrettable but to be expected. For two-dose vaccines, the protection provided by vaccines is only partial after the first dose, especially against the Delta variant. So it is vitally important that people get fully vaccinated as soon as they have the possibility to do so.”
It comes amid warnings the NHS is on the verge of crisis, with several health boards including NHS Highland, Lanarkshire and Lothian cancelling operations and other non-urgent treatments.
Jillian Evans, head of health intelligence at NHS Grampian, said the health service was facing another “really difficult time”.
She also told how she was “not comfortable at all” with Nicola Sturgeon’s plan for Scotland to move to Level 0 next week.
But Ms Evans told the BBC’s Sunday Show that those hospitalised with Covid were “not staying in anything like as long” as in previous waves of the pandemic.
On the planned easing of restrictions next Monday – which is expected to be confirmed by Ms Sturgeon in a parly statement on Tuesday, Ms Evans said: “The minute you open and get back to what’s normal you will have a rise in cases, it will be a sharp peak followed by a dramatic fall as we have much wider population immunity. But we will still have problems further down the line, because of waning immunity. It’s not going to go away.”

Sounds like Jillian Evans has been drinking too much “kool-aid.” I am also sure they will ratchet up the amplifications after next Sunday. But first lets just deal with the numbers. It is interesting to note that the article only mentions covid cases AFTER vaccinations during the period. If they were an “insignificant” portion of the hospitalized covid cases, seems to me that that point would have been made. I suspect, then, that there weren’t a very large number of unvaccinated cases admitted. The “message” that I get from reading it was that basically, it is the vaccinated getting sick, so you can easily come to the conclusion that social distancing and masks aren’t going to make a difference, either, since it is obvious that the “inoculations” aren’t. Hope enough of the Scots survive to maintain the golf courses. Be a shame to lose those beautiful links.

Everyone will get Coronavirus, irrespective of if they have had their 2 shots or not and if they leave the Coronavirus in their head, untreated, (re my salt water cure Twitter Blog RichardNoakes19 the Secular Heretic one) it will become Covid 10 to 14 days later, but you won’t know that, until a further 10 days or so has passed by, when you suddenly find you can’t breathe freely anymore and that is when the Covid has changed to Acute Pneumonia and enveloped your lungs, so that you can’t get oxygen in and you need a ventilator, but you will probably die anyway – the purpose of your 2 shots is to stop that Acute Pneumonia from occurring and nothing else and you are going to bet your life on those mRNA test vaccines from doing that and keeping you safe – sooner you than me!! Richard The purpose of the two jabs is to make more money for Big Pharma and their satellites, no matter how many suckers there are for the propaganda. Soon there will be calls for a once a month jab, and antivaxxers will be stigmatised. Once we shout from the rooftops that mRNA vaccines simply do not work, and worse that they are killers, then we might be proved right in 400 years time. I am 91 so I cannot wait that long. Haha.
