Solar Storms & Hurricanes

Tropical storms; cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons are the most destructive storms on Earth.

These storms always seem to come with a blame from climate change these days, but there is something more influential, something that is taking an even more prominent role as the magnetic field of Earth weakens and that is the Sun.

A few days ago a paper was released on solar triggered extreme storms. Solar activity or more importantly the impact on Earth through geomagnetic conditions is a major trigger of storm genesis.

Solar flares produce x-ray and uv light but do not change the output of visible light. UV is absorbed by the O2 and N2 in the atmosphere and converted to kinetic energy. It is this increase in atmospheric heat that evaporates more water and creates these storms. The visible light that heats the Earth’s surface is not heating the atmosphere.

I wish there were no more ‘just videos’; perhaps a written article with an accompanying video for the reading challenged!
It seems to me that written word is to be shunned; that is, along with white privilege, grammar, mathematics…
OTOH, lets how far would we get with catering to the lowest denominator and have everything in “videos!” I’d love to see the Constipution / Bill of Tights in the Benny Hill’s mute video style. Life would be much more fun with a “video parking ticket or even criminal inditement!”
In the meantime, whenever warranted, I do opt for they-tube, download the transcript and then read it… (but it doesn’t beat “immersive reader”)
    Cheers, JaKo

      Hi JaKo,

Did you not HEAR that what was being stated was relative to the past 25 year history? Everything else was smoke and mirrors to SELL a textbook.

      Hi JaKo,

Here is an example of an almost 100 year weather event “In the 1890s, when the rains were accompanied by a sharp temperature rise and heavy precipitation in the valley, the Willamette River could experience major floods. The flood of June 1894 was one of the worst such high-water events of the nineteenth century in Oregon.”. (does not matter who wrote this) For I now see “one of the worst” so I maybe should not assume this 1894 event was not the only one of such a magnitude. However, native Americans had lived in this valley for 1000s of years so we should check their history which had been handed down from generation to generation.. I certainly would believe this history would be just as reliable as the 25 year history of this article.

      Have a good day

JaKo, you say “download the transcript”. This news to me. How do I do it because like you, I’d rather read than listen? That way I can copy/paste juicy bits to where ever. Ta very muchly.
