New Zealand enters nationwide lockdown over ONE Covid case
New Zealand has announced a snap lockdown after a man tested positive for Covid, the first case in six months.
The case was detected in Auckland, which will be in lockdown for a week, while the rest of the country will be in lockdown for three days.
Authorities say they are working on the assumption that the new case was the Delta variant.
Just around 20 percent of its population has been fully vaccinated.
Coromandel, a coastal town where the infected person had visited, will be in lockdown for seven days too.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the toughest “level 4” rules were required – closing schools, offices and all businesses with only essential services remaining operational.
“I want to assure New Zealand that we have planned for this eventuality. Going hard and early has worked for us before,” she said.
The patient is a 58-year-old man, who is believed to have been infectious since last Thursday.
There are at least 23 potential sites of transmission.
There was reportedly a rush at supermarkets in Auckland, as locals anticipated a snap lockdown.
Officials said there was a need for strong response because of the fear of the Delta variant, and because there was no clear link between the new case and the border or quarantine facilities.
Data released by New Zealand’s Ministry of Health on Monday showed that all Covid-19 cases detected at the country’s border in recent weeks had been Delta.
“We have seen what can happen elsewhere if we fail to get on top of it. We only get one chance,” Ms Ardern said in a televised national address, calling the Delta strain “a game changer“.
New Zealand has been successful in eliminating the virus from within its borders, although its international borders remain largely closed.
However, its vaccination programme has rolled out at a slow pace, with only around 20 percent of people fully vaccinated and 33 percent of people having received one dose, according to Our World in Data.

There are now about 20 confirmed cases of community “delta” variant identified and approx. 100 places of infection risk in Auckland , New Zealand.
If they nip it in the bud with this lockdown many kiwis will see their Prime Minister as Mother Teresa again.
It could be worse. It could be a civil and military withdrawal from a land locked country warzone where you abandon your military airfield and allies like thieves in the night.

We (all humans) must be prepared for that time but we know that not all will be prepared as they are a problem. Did you know I have decapitation records in Quick Aikido? Very severe sort of results.
The one week I decapitated like 80 people. Personally. In Quick Aikido.
Cool huh? That was LONG before I reached 10th dan, master and going back to the orion belt. It’s pretty bad. I even had a god belt once. Then two one belts.

Before I continue. I must tell you, I play Quake and Starcraft (they are not PC games, btw). Ironically though, I had a teammate named Matt (Paradox). What happened was that noone else could compete and had to use bots, because they gave up before we even started playing.

Hard to have an “uncivil war” when the military have guns and the peasants have pitchforks, really. It might have worked in the the days of muzzle loaders, but not with automatic weapons. Even harder when the populace has mostly drank the koolaid and have accepted that a non-existent virus can have detectable variants when there is no test to distinguish a variant from the original imaginary one.

I Agree with Richard. If you are in any sort of management position be it a corporation or government you are vulnerable if you do not go with the “if it saves one life” policy. And once the management “herd” starts moving a certain way, the rest follow figuring safety in numbers liability wise. Not that I agree with the philosophy. A part of the strategy behind the constructed pandemic the ruling class masterminded, is to have the western countries so much in debt they cannot pay it back. MSM is not telling the people the lockdowns are financed by loans from the bankcartels via their Wordbank and IMF.
The total wold debt is now exeeding 300 000 billion dollars, and owned by the bankcartels, who are owned by eight families. by owning this bedt they own the world.
How much will a national lockdown of the whole country of New Zealand cost? the cost must be added to the cost of the previous lockdowns the last one and a half year. And the economy for the workong class and lower middle class is smashed, many thousands of small businesses and mid size businesses are closed forever, and hundreds of thousands in NZ have lost their jobs.
This make the tax renevue much lower, and the debt cannot be pays back, because the lockdowns continiue until the countries are hopelessy in debt. That is the goverments, or administrtations more rightly obligations to the ruling class of globalist bilionares they serve.
When the loans cannot be paid back, the bankcartels will take goverment property as payment, the peoples property becomes the capitals property, the ruling class’ goal. Then the bankcartels can refprm much of the the worlds economy as they want, and implement a digital centralbank currency, and democracy as we know it is over. It means total control over the individual in the new World Order, your measured and graded income will tick into your microchip implant, as long as you are “relevant” and profitable for the ruling class.
