Greenpeace Co-founder: SCOTUS CO2 Decision ‘A Wonderful Start’

Dr Patrick Moore was one of the five original co-founders of Greenpeace (and only scientist!). Since quitting Greenpeace in 1986, Moore has lambasted the environmental movement for repeated “scare tactics and disinformation“, saying that green activism “abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism.”
Talking frankly on TNT Radio Live Moore explained his decision thusly:
“In 1971 an environmental and antiwar ethic was taking root in Canada, and I chose to participate. As I completed a Ph.D. in ecology, I combined my science background with the strong media skills of my colleagues. In keeping with our pacifist views, we started Greenpeace. But I later learned that the environmental movement is not always guided by science.”
Speaking with PSI’s Joe Olson, Joe Postma and John O’Sullivan he continues:
“At first, many of the causes we championed, such as opposition to nuclear testing and protection of whales, stemmed from our scientific knowledge of nuclear physics and marine biology. But after six years as one of five directors of Greenpeace International, I observed that none of my fellow directors had any formal science education. They were either political activists or environmental entrepreneurs.”

Why We Need MORE Carbon Dioxide, Not Less
Patrick Moore, like the thousands of scientists supporting Principia Scientific International, gave us a two-hour information-packed interview where it was revealed that science proves that carbon dioxide is good for the planet.
Moore: “Our planet needs MORE, not less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere!”
Over geologic time we see that CO2 never drops much below 200ppm because as plants start to die, CO2 is released.
Our current epoch is the first time in earth’s history it has ever reached this “floor”. During the only other CO2 crash at the end of the Carboniferous, it also got down to 400ppm. The average CO2 level in the later Phanerozoic is about 2,000ppm, which is about the amount used in commercial greenhouses to optimize crop yield. CO2 is literally plant food; it is not toxic to life at all.
Greenpeace Claims Immunity from Lawsuits Because Its Claims Are ‘Hyperbole’
A funny thing happened when Greenpeace and allies were forced to account for their claims in court in a lawsuit versus Canadian company, Resolute. As Resolute’s President and CEO Richard Garneau explained in a recent op-ed,
“They [Greenpeace] started changing their tune, as they concede in their legal filings. They admitted their accusations against Resolute were “hyperbole,” “heated rhetoric,” and “non-verifiable statements of subjective opinion” that should not be taken “literally” or expose them to any legal liability. These are sober admissions after years of irresponsible attacks. (emphasis added)
As the Financial Post also reported,
“In other words, Greenpeace is admitting that it relies on “non-verifiable statements of subjective opinion,” and because its claims are not meant to be factual, the group believes it cannot be held legally responsible for what it says.”
Patrick Moore explains on TNT Radio Live how Eco-Extremism became the new “false-front” for economic Marxists, who were discredited after the fall of the Soviet Union circa 1990 and took over the Green movement to further their political objectives.
In our two-hour talk Moore revealed much common ground with PSI’s Sky Dragon Slayers O’Sullivan, Olson and Postma but agreed to disagree that carbon dioxide could cause ‘some’ atmospheric warming.

After a decade of requests, it was an honor to share the world’s first Lukewarmist v NO Warmist debate. As a solo student pilot I looked at clouds from above, below, beside and INSIDE. As an engineer I have looked at clouds as massive Thermodynamic systems using Latent Heat transfers to COOL the Earth. Labeling water vapor a warming gas is FRAUD.

“It’s clouds illusions I recall, I really don’t know clouds at all.”
Today is aphelion Approximately 6% less total solar than perihelion on 2nd-3rd of January. Combined with low solar activity likely contributes to meridional jet streams, causing significant temperature variations.

Your conclusion regarding CO2 is correct, which indicates the problem we are facing is not of science, but more likely radical politics. Only radical politics could last over the time frame that AGW has survived, and that to my mind is far more scary. The antidote solution to that problem must be political in nature. I suggest it involves the ‘power of the people’ and CIR?
