Eric Peters: The Truth You’re Not Told About Electric Cars

Governments worldwide are aggressively implementing policies to phase out combustion engine cars and replace them with electric ones, claiming that carbon dioxide (CO2), the key greenhouse gas emitted by traditional cars, poses an existential threat to our planet.

As unscientific as this fallacy is, the major car manufacturers and leftist “woke” posers are readily embracing it.

In this interview with The New American, automotive journalist Eric Peters provides a deep dive into numerous issues with electric cars, which, in the end, drastically restrict one’s freedom of movement. Another serious factor to consider is that the mining of metals and minerals needed for E.V. batteries has a well-documented negative environmental impact on local ecosystems.

While this fact alone undermines the “noble” idea behind the E.V.s., there’s more. Often, child labor is employed in the mining industry in African countries such as the Congo. Those well-to-dos driving the E.V.s to virtue signal while ignoring the above are hypocrites, opined Mr. Peters.

… And also that CO2 is a cooling gas, primarily by radiating primarily in a spectral absorption/emission band at 80 Celsius degrees below zero, as well as by other uniformly cooling attributes. There is no credible data to support a claim of warming.

They don’t need a credible argument. Facts are synthesized ad hoc and, when it comes down to it, the climate change cult leaders foster and then feed off the emotions. It’s the emotions that emerge from gullible people to whom they gaslight with their fake temperature and sea level predictions. It’s actually a pretty tight feedback loop and sadly it has successfully been injected and has infected our educational system down to the K in K-12. Going to take major course correction and energy to fight this anti-human agenda.

Well, Mark Twain was right. It is easier to fool people than convince them they have been fooled. Especially wholesale.

    Tom, you are exactly correct.
There is no so called ‘Greenhouse Gas’ which warms anything.
Ozone – Cools the planet by shielding UV rays from reaching the surface of Earth.
H2O (water vapor, clouds) – Cools the planet by shielding it from a broad spectrum of solar radiation, from the visible to the low IR. Ever wonder why fog blocks sunlight?
CO2 – Cools the planet by blocking incoming solar radiation in the IR spectrum, which accounts for half of all incoming sunlight energy.

Thus, all ‘Greenhouses Gases’ are coolants, or at best neutral.

A new paper published by SAE International uses Car and Driver’s real-world highway test data to show that electric vehicles underperform on real-world efficiency and range relative to the EPA figures by a much greater margin than internal-combustion vehicles.
While internal-combustion cars often match or exceed their EPA highway fuel economy numbers, a new paper using data from C/D’s highway tests show that EVs are far worse at meeting expectations.

I pay $1.00 per 60 miles for electricity to power my Tesla Model 3 Total maintenance cost for 2 years driving… $175.00 to have brake fluid replaced. All metals we use everyday come from a mine.

Within 2 years? Something wrong there. A ‘peanuts’ job for 175 dollars… Nice little earner that wipes out any benefits.

      Hi Joe,
Wait until you have to have the battery replaced or try to sell the car before you calculate how much it costs. I’m curious on how much do home charging stations cost or repair?

        Home charging station: $2,000.
        Battery bank replacement: $15,000.

EV: Not as affordable as it seems.
        Mastercard: Priceless.

If you mean EV charger Herb.
        https://www.whatcar.com/news/best-home-ev-chargers/n25830
“Prices for home chargers start at around £400 and rise to more than £1000. You’ll need to factor in the cost of fitting too, which is likely to amount to around £500 or £600. Unfortunately the Government’s grant of £350 towards the cost of having a charger fitted no longer applies, so you can’t get any money off.”
Grant? You mean taken from the taxpayer without asking.

People round here go to the superstore and get a free charge. It will be different when that stops.
