Digging into the climate crisis

Watch Ben Pile’s video presentation on the fact of the non-existence of the climate crisis.

I have been on the road again this week, filming the final round of interviews for our upcoming Climate Debate UK documentary on Miliband and Net Zero. This means I’m a bit behind with writing.

Some discussion have come up today on X on the matter of wildfires. This was a topic I raised in a presentation I gave to Pandata a couple of years ago to an online audience. For some reason, that video and the Pandata channel is no longer available on Youtube, though others have pirated it. I’m not particular content with that state of things, so I thought I’d upload it here for all to see.

The presentation explains (and debunks) the phenomenon of panic about the “climate crisis” using the methodology we developed at Climate Debate UK. Once we start to unpack claims about climate change, and examine them in the broader historical contexts, we discover a very different picture to the one presented by politicians, green activists, and very many scientists and other climate researchers, seemingly hailing from the world’s most authoritative institutions. It becomes clear that ideology, money, and power have put their thumbs on the scales.

The presentation is the result of many years of research, which has been almost entirely unpaid. Subscribers to this Substack help to support the continuation of that work and Climate Debate UK, including the film we’re currently working on. So even if I’m quiet for a few days, it’s not because I’m on holiday. If you find the presentation and the work here useful and interesting, and want to see it continue, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
