California Wildfires Are So Intense, They’re Sparking ‘Firenadoes’

As brutal heat continues to scorch the West, it is sparking wildfires that are burning through hundreds of thousands of acres of land. In California, this year’s wildfires are outpacing the damage caused by last year’s record-setting fire season.

One blaze in California sparked a firenado over the weekend—the state’s second in three weeks. It’s indicative of the severity of the fires burning in the state, and spreading across the West in general. With more heat and single-digit humidity on tap for the start of the week, there could unfortunately be more extreme fire behavior.

Firenadoes Are Our Latest Horror

The Beckwourth Complex, made up of two lightning-caused fires on the east edge of the Plumas National Forest, north of Lake Tahoe, doubled in size late last week and became the state’s largest fire of 2021 at nearly 90,000 acres as of Monday morning. On Saturday, the flames also whipped up a firenado. Firefighters captured terrifying footage of the occurrence.

F**king tornado,” a firefighter can be heard yelling in a video posted to Instagram as people scramble for cover inside vehicles while smoke and debris whip around. Watch the videos if you want to believe that hell is a place on Earth.

Firenadoes are also known as fire tornadoes, fire twisters, or perhaps most accurately, fire devils. (They’re also sometimes called fire whirls, though some meteorologists draw a distinction for that term for smaller but still terrifying fire weather occurrences.) They occur when large wildfires superheat the air.

That causes the air to rise. As it rises, it cools and condenses in the upper reaches of the atmosphere, creating unstable conditions and a clash of air that can causes firenadoes to form. Researchers are still studying exactly what conditions lead to firenadoes, but they are among the world’s rarest extreme weather phenomena.

Yet other footage also released in the past week by the Forest Service shows that this was not California’s first firenado of the year. The video, shot on June 29, shows a powerful twister in the Tennant fire in Klamath National Forest near the state’s border with Oregon.

Wildfires Are Burning Across the West

The West’s blazes are hardly confined to California. In fact, the largest wildfire in the region is currently Oregon’s Bootleg Fire. That blaze has been burning for six days straight. As of Monday morning, the inferno has scorched more than 150,000 acres.

On Friday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom dispatched firefighting teams from the Bay Area to Oregon to help with containment. But the hot, windy conditions in the state escalated on Saturday, forcing firefighters to “disengage and move to predetermined safety zones” to avoid “immediate, life-threatening risk” from the Bootleg fire, officials said in a statement.

With the flames threatening 3,000 houses, residents in nearby areas were forced to evacuate, and the danger was so severe that the Klamath County sheriff’s department began issuing citations for people who refused to follow evacuation orders.

Flames and Heat Have Put Electrical Infrastructure At Risk

The Bootleg Fire also disrupted electricity lines that transmit power from Oregon to California, known as California Oregon Intertie or Path 66. The lines are owned by PG&E, PacifiCorp, the Western Area Power Administration, and the Transmission Agency of Northern California.

On Saturday, the California Independent System Operator told reporters that the Bootleg Fire took the corridor offline, leaving the state with 5,500 fewer megawatts of available power amid a blistering heat wave. Newsom signed orders on Friday and Saturday to allow the state to use backup generators and auxiliary ship engines to help offset the strain on the grid.

After officials urged residents to reduce their power consumption, Californians conserved enough electricity to weather the high energy demand and avoid widespread blackouts. A flex alert is in place for Monday, meaning the state isn’t out of the power outage woods yet.

It’s not just California and Oregon that are suffering due to wildfires sparked by extreme heat. As of Monday morning, wildfires were burning across more than 768,000 acres in 12 states. In Arizona on Saturday, two firefighters who were working with the Bureau of Land Management to surveil the Cedar Basin Fire in northwest Arizona perished when their plane crashed. Fires are also spreading across western Canada, causing officials to prepare themselves to “take emergency measures.

      Hello Olson:
More propaganda from Alex Israel Jones Zionist half truth network. California has had these fires for decades. The problem has gotten worse because the wealthier people move out into the more rural areas that are full of dry brush. In many cases this gigantic tender box of kindling is right up to their subdivisions and houses. If you had government (and residents) with any sense this crap would be allowed to burn when it inevitably catches on fire and it not only gets rid of the thickets and under brush but fertilizes the ground and makes better habitats for wild animals.

In Mexico they let the fires burn, only protecting the stuff that has to be protected. California has created a permanent problem. Another factor is that as the illegal migrants flood into the state so they can all get on welfare and all their women can have 15 kids for the taxpayers to support. They light up camp fires all over the place causing fires. With the dry brush situation in that climate all that has to be done if flip a cigarette out the window and poof, you got a fire.

The trees don’t burn because they soak up ground water. As an example, a large pecan tree can pull in over 200 gallons per day in hot weather. Many trees get better at getting water as they get bigger. Thats how they survive. Trees around houses tend to watered more as part of the landscape. I have seen large pecans pull in so much water that the crops and grass around them can’t compete in dry weather. I am sure others are similar. I have cut down large trees that literally had water running out of the cut.

Hot fires will melt auto glass and when gasoline explodes and burns, the tires make an extremely hot fire that will destroy the alloy and plastic and warp the flimsy material on cars now days.

The Zionists never miss an opportunity to use triggers against Russia and China as right wing Zionist shill Jones does as he continues to campaign for puppet actor Netanyahu fan boy Trump. Olson your energy weapon hypothesis in the California fires have about as much credibility as your nukes on 911. That is to say Zero.

    Hi PSI Readers,

You are an amazing group!!! I am sure PSI readers have many readers but you read for information and not to make snide comments which only ‘insiders’ can understand (like Joseph’s). Which he had not yet made when I went to gizmodo’s link.

Many, many comments there similar to Joseph’s.. This despite the fact that gizmodo’s article is very informative and in my judgment quite accurate SCIENTIFICALLY.

So I must comment about the PSI Editor’s note: “PSI editor’s note: This article concluded, as might be expected, by blaming the fires on ‘climate change’, whereas in the real world, these fires are caused by poor forest management and arson.”

At the other ‘recent’ article relative to wildfires in Australia I commented about the fact that I am a SCIENTIST and that we had lost a cabin, shed, (here I make the list longer), a tractor, trailers, electrical generator, etc. etc. due to the ‘bootleg’ fire.

On Monday, July 5, I went to the cabin to get five new bandsaw blades for my sawmill which is now in Salem OR. I had not been to our property for more than a year and I found a small reservoir almost evaporated dry. We have owned the property for 15+ years and this had never happened by fall (October) after a long, dry, hot summer.

Another fact which I didn’t comment at the other article was: The USA government has funded many automated weather stations in remote areas since the late 1980’s when technology allowed this to be done. So, while the bootleg fire has not burned up one of these sites, it is surrounded (nearby) these sites. So, we now have a NATURAL Laboratory with data to study for the first time in history. And I must remind you and the PSI editors that less than 8 DECADES we were not aware of an atmospheric circulation known as the JET STREAM!!!

These are good reasons why we have such a limited understanding of weather and comment. One needs actual DATA to do SCIENCE. And to this point in time, I see little effort to use this data to understand; much is only being used to predict without UNDERSTANDING.

      Hi Jacque.

Yes, they have but I believe it is behind atmospheric carbon dioxide. After all, there has to be some reason the use of fossil fuels is being curtailed. Some people cannot accept ‘solar flares’ because they do not know how to control solar flares.

      How very dare you !
There is only one cause of climate change which is the billions spent on brainwashing the population into believing CO2 is the demonic weather enemy.
Spaceweather, magnetic pole shifts and solar events cannot be taxed therefore are not the cause of climate change.

    Hello Jerry
On your statement “After all, there has to be some reason the use of fossil fuels is being curtailed.” There is. The so called fossils fuels are an abundant, efficient and cost effective source of energy. In order for the plantation livestock to be herded into agenda 2030-21, the industrial economies must to sufficiently damaged and food, energy and all resources made “scarce” so that the necessary crises can be manufactured by the Zionists governments. The phony climate change and fake virus serve this purpose.. However war has always been the primary tool for moving societies in the desired direction in the shortest amount of time. That is why Russia and China are being framed in the goyim’s feeble minds as the new “axis of evil.” WW3 is being prepared.

    Hi Mark and Others,

It seems no one has bothered to read my comment at the other article (https://principia-scientific.com/forests-need-foresters-not-increased-regulation/) which I referenced; at least you have not referred to it.

Mark specifically: Have you ever read and pondered Job (Holy Bible)??? The Creator God is clearly in a fight with the Snake and those who rebelled against Him and we humans are the people that the Snake tries to corrupt.

Yes, there is a war going on which no one can deny!!! The question, which everyone should ponder, is: Whose side am I on??? Jesus died because of our sins, but He rose again from the tomb and I believe we, who believe this, will at the END will win this WAR. But while here on the Earth, we must FIGHT with the TWO NEW SCIENCES which Galileo, with courage, demonstrated for US!!!

Hi Mark and anybody else who reads what I write,

Thank you, Mark, for your comment.

You wrote: “I am at a loss as to what the study of these physical properties has to do with our struggle against EVIL.” The Creator God has not appointed me, nor you, to judge others. That is His job. I study these physical properties because I believe God creates special people to do special jobs. Galileo appears to have been such a person.

Maybe I have written this before, but if so, I consider it worth repeating. While I do not know if the Creator God exists, I must only believe However, we can read that which we know was written long, long ago in the Holy Bible. Where we can read: “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creators that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.”

I ask you Mark, do we humans now rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creators that move along the ground.???

My answer is YES!!! How was this done??? My answer: By practicing that which Galileo demonstrated for us!!!

Because I do not know the future, I am going to continuing practicing what Galileo demonstrated until my END here on Earth comes.

And I, like Galileo, have observed things which it seems that others had not yet For there is a very simple observation which needs no telescope. This very common observation, which proves Darwin’s idea about the evolution of LIFE is Absolutely WRONG. For from the beginning the eggs that a female bird laid needs to be inculcated to a temperature near that of the bird’s warm body if little birds are to hatch from these eggs.

A final question: Who taught (programed) birds to do this???

    Hello Jerry:
Your analogy of the innate programming of the birds to provide the necessary heat for reproduction reminded me of scientist Werner Gitt’s book “In The Beginning Was Information.” He uses the spiderweb as a brilliant example of structural design requiring rigidity, strength, and economy. Gitt points out that the spiral threads do not just cross the radial ones and the two sets are not just tied at the intersections but rather run parallel for a short distance and are “soldered” together with very fine threads.

The spider plans its web like an architect then works as a highly proficient weaver. The spider is also a chemist who synthesizes it’s silk in a computer controlled process. The spider is so proficient that it seems to have completed courses in structural engineering, chemistry, architecture, and information science. Who instructed it? Where did it get this specialized knowledge?

This is just the beginning as Gitt explores the subject of information that can only come from an intelligent source. From a designer.
Thanks for the reply Jerry and best regards, Mark.

    Hi Mark,

The spider and its web has nothing to do with a critical step in the life cycle of a bird (a warm blooded animal).

“No complex instinct can possibly be produced through natural selection, except by the slow and gradual accumulation of numerous, slight, yet profitable, variations.” (“On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life,” Charles Darwin, 1859, pp 187)

As I read your comment, it seems to me that you see no difference that a bird’s egg must be incubated (kept warm near 37C) for many consecutive days for a little bird to hatch and that a spider spins a web.. My point is the necessity of this single step in the life cycle of a bird dictates that the first female bird of its kind to lay an egg had to ‘instinctively’ set on the egg to warm it and to keep it warm with its body’s heat for many consecutive days.

Too many people like to argue and I have heard a common endless arguments which is: Which came first, the chicken (a bird) or the egg? There can be only one correct answer: The BIRD!!! For what was to incubate the egg if there was not yet a bird to incubate the egg???

Reproducible observations (or measurements) cannot be debated even if one is so foolish to try. But I am sure “the subject of information” can be debated because it seems it requires ‘intelligence’. But SCIENCE only requires the ability to see (observe).

    Hello Jerry:
My point is that these natural processes inherent within all living organisms require the coding of intelligence. This cannot be done by a random process but only by an intelligent source.

    Hi Mark,

Your statement–“This cannot be done by a random process but only by an intelligent source.”–is an aged old logical argument. Continents cannot drift seems a logical fact but the evidence is very conclusive that they have, and are, as EARTH QUAKES are OBSERVED FACTS that the ground (earth) does move.

Take a ‘fertile’ bird egg and lay it on shelf at 22C. All the INTELLIGENT CODING is inside that egg but nothing is observed to happen (produce NEW LIFE)!!!

    Hello Jerry:
Intelligent design is not enough. Just like with all organisms, the conditions must be favorable. My point was that rather than just a bird sitting on an egg, even a lowly spider exhibits manifold and sophisticated characteristics that could only come from an intelligent designer.

I have never doubted that continents move. Genisis7:11-
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

The Bible indicates a pre flood world with a totally different Hydrologic cycle where there was no rain and the entire worlds atmosphere and climate were different. The great flood was a one time event where great subterranean volcanic activity changed everything and even shifted the land masses. All over the world evidence is found of the great flood. Just as with the dinosaur bones in todays arctic, the evolutionists cannot explain it. The “breaking up of the fountains of the great deep” may be the describing of the rifting of the ocean ridges and the continents.
    Best regards, Mark
