Aussie Construction Workers, Trade Unions Lead COVID Uprising!
It appears that we have a bona fide revolution unfolding in the city of Melbourne, Australia!
Australia currently leads the world in medical tyranny as they have descended into a total medical police state in the past several weeks, with authorities desperately trying to keep the COVID narrative alive by trying to track every single movement of their citizens, force them to stay in their homes unless the government gives them permission to leave and go outside, and mandatory COVID-19 shots are being implemented for everyone to participate in society. (Emphasis added)
Led by construction workers but also joined by other trade unions, people took to the streets of Melbourne en masse Tuesday, shutting down the busiest freeway in all of Australia for a while.
The protesters say this will go on every day now, until the government meets their demands.

This is a huge development in the battle for freedom in Victoria, Australia. It cannot be overstated.
The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) has declared war against their own leadership, John Setka (below, circled), for not fighting against the mandatory COVID vaccine. As he was attempting to hunker down in his office headquarters, union boss John Setka physically came under attack from his own union membership over his political relationship with Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews.
This is the U.S. equivalent of AFL-CIO members launching a violent uprising against former union President Richard Trumka; and then Trumka running to Joe Biden for help and protection from his own membership.
The CFMEU members are the heavy-hitting blue-collar construction and dirty fingernail workers, and the leadership of the CFMEU are the thug-like mobsters who run the union.
Just like the AFL-CIO or UAW in America, the union leadership in Australia is politically corrupt and disconnected from the members they serve. Earlier today (AU-time), the union members organized to confront the union leadership.
When CFMEU union boss John Setka tried to weasel his way out of the confrontation things turned violent. The members have had enough of the lockdowns, ridiculous COVID regulations and now the forced vaccinations. Setka shouted, “What do you want me to do, shut it down?” The members erupted in cheers. Yes, that is exactly what they want. [09:54 of video below]
The union members want their leadership to fight for them; to use the power of the union labor movement to shut down industry and bring the government to heel. The righteously angry members, turned freedom fighters, want to force Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews to back-down from his totalitarian dictates, and stop the mandatory vaccines that create two classes of people.
The trade union members recognize their leadership is politically corrupt and supporting the totalitarian rules of the government. After things turned violent, Setka was forced to retreat to his office and position his foot-soldiers at the doors to protect him. The members launched a full frontal assault on the building, smashing windows, throwing bottles and forcing Setka’s thugs to run back inside.
Trapped and under assault from his own members, John Setka called for police and riot squads to rescue him from his own members. The riot police showed up in their ninja turtles uniforms and started firing rubber bullets and tear gas at the angry union members in the crowd. The workers fought back as hundreds of police units arrived to secure the building and attempt to form a defensive ring around the CFMEU building. Suffice to say, John Setka and Premier Daniel Andrews clutched their pearls and called the angry union workers a violent mob.
In an attempt to save face and give the appearance of having control over the situation; in a transparently political move; Premier Daniel Andrews then announced a retaliatory shutdown of the Victorian construction industry for two weeks. Essentially Daniels is trying to lockdown the CFMEU members, before the CFMEU members could strike.
Daniels and Setka know the members have the power in this scenario – so, they are trying to avoid the political optic of having the construction industry workers strike and lock down the economy, by being proactive and shutting down the industry. It is a face saving maneuver meant to give the illusion of power. However, shutting down the industry is what the union members wanted Union President Setka to do.
This is a very interesting development. If the heavy-hitting labor unions start striking back against government leadership they previously supported and installed, the entire dynamic of power shifts. We must keep watching this closely because this is also the dynamic we could see play out in the United States, only on a much larger scale.
This first video is the attempt of John Setka to appease the angry members. [Cued to the point where he asks if they want him to shut down and strike]
Here’s the portrayal on Australian media including the detached and elitist response from Setka and Andrews:

I love it when a free people stands up against tyranny. If tyranny isn’t nipped in the bud now it will become the norm. The forces of darkness and repression are watching to see how this turns out.

Escalation from batons and pepper spray to tear gas and rubber bullets will not make totalitarianism popular. Imagine molotov roasted Ninja Turtle tyrants, keep it up.

History shows the the end of imposed tyrrany is never pleasant.
Romania, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America.
The Queen’s four – AUS (Prison Island), NZ, Canada, UK – may all go the same way on their Nazi road.

In 1971 I was an estimator/project manager for a Union Contractor in heavy industrial industry. The contractor employed Steamfitters, Boilermakers, Millwrights, Ironworkers and Riggers. Tough bunch but very professional unless you decided to play mind games with them and violated their contracts. These people (mostly men) are the salt of the earth but did not take any crap from authorities. I wish them well and I will be praying for them.

My reading of history tells me both the US and Swiss constitutions developed after civil wars, neither of which were very civil. The ensuing difference was the US settled on a Top Down (TD) method of government while the Swiss chose the alternate, but much rarer, Bottom Up (BU) form.
Stable TD government allows great wealth to accumulate in the hands of a few who can use that wealth to disproportionately influence the government. At this point the idea of ‘for the people’ takes second place to ‘for the most influential’.
In Australia, our constitution developed through negotiation between the states in the realisation that a national government made sense for a country that was bounded by natural sea barriers. While the Swiss system was briefly considered by our founding fathers, it was abandoned, partly due to perceived communication difficulties. A TD style of constitution was introduced, which is now experiencing great trauma. The opportunity to develop under a BU style of government was lost, but surprisingly could be introduced with a relatively small change to our constitution as discussed at https://bosmin.com/HOME/Bottom-UpGovernment.pdf
A basic community understanding is that most people want to live in a safe and prosperous way without undue outside influence from their government. A Bottom Up system of government is the only method to offer that opportunity for the long term.

I hope to God you’re not an American because if you are, your knowledge or, lack thereof, of the formation of the American constitution is appalling.

If you want a blow by blow description of what happened in forming the US constitution try https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_the_United_States
Far too much detail for a brief summary of where we are today and what now needs fixing.

This is what happens when you stand up for your right. People vote and elect democratic government to get beaten up by them.

It’s about time people grew up and realised that the government exists for the interests of the corporations and not for the people in the electorates. Politicians campaign that when elected they will serve the people, but when they get in, they serve themselves. No matter who you vote for, a politician always gets in.

It has become abundantly clear that these governments serve a higher authority – not their people. Who pulls their strings and gives them orders?

Yes, very appropriate! No “shrimps on the barby these days.” The problem developed from a world wide gross over reaction to a flu type infection, which was originally promulgated by the UN through their WHO arm.
I wrote to our Prime Minister at the time advising only to protect the aged and make up field hospitals if necessary, but not to shut our economy down. This advice was ignored, because we have a Top Down system of government. If the option had been put out in a referendum, the wishes of the people could have produced a far more practical solution.
That option can only occur when people have a Bottom Up style of leadership.

Hi Robert,
What you propose requires that people have accurate and balanced sources of information so they can make informed decisions. When the government and media produce only propaganda and lies and are able to coerce censorship on those with different points of views, how is this possible?

Good point Herb,
I envisage a two stage process. Initially anyone can propose an initiating petition, but have to attract at least 1% of verified supporters within a six month time frame, before that proposal is put to a formal vote. A formal vote requires that both sides of an argument are placed evenly on the voting document. A simple majority vote then decides the issue. The whole process happens in a maximum time frame of eleven months.
The safety check is that the a decided issue can be resubmitted to another referendum, but not before a five year trial period has elapsed.
