HRSA releases Nov 2023 data for COVID-19 countermeasure injury petitions

Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the US federal agency who administers the CounterMeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) for injury/death petitions from COVID-19 vaccine and other countermeasures, released the November data last week.

And the news remains the same. To hell with anyone who was been injured the vaccine or medical device or drug used to fight the COVID-19 virus.

There were two new cases “compensated”. It is just a continuation of reimbursing for medical expenses not covered by other means.

Here are the two awards. Which now makes a whole eight claims “compensated”.

Meanwhile, the petition filings continue to mount up and increase the tremendous backlog of petitions for review.

Since our government is more interested in reimbursing medical expenses than actually compensated injured persons, lets compare what another country and how they are actually taking care of their citizens.

Yet not as plenty as it should be, but they are doing much more than our government.

Take a look at what Canada is doing. The Great White North. Our neighbor, whose government did not like truckers during the pandemic.

Canada, who used our CICP as a template for their COVID related compensation program, started operations in June 2021.

The Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP), is more generous than our own system.

And Canadians have three years to file instead of the punitive one year in the CICP.

As of this month, the VISP has paid out over $6.6 million dollars to 103 compensable claims. That is an average of over $64,000 Canadian for each award.

Here is the US, the total payment of the eight cases is not even 50 percent of just one case in Canada. Really pathetic.
