‘Mad Scramble’ Across Europe To Return To Coal And Gas
For three decades, climate campaigners have fought to make fossil fuels so expensive that people would be forced to abandon them. But now there is a “mad scramble” across Europe to return to coal and gas after a “drought in wind” occurred last summer.
“So, reserves of gas which would have ordinarily been stockpiled to use in winter were used due to the absence of renewable power,” Graham Lloyd told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Which set up a cascading disaster which has now resulted in dramatically higher prices, fears that there are going to be shortages and blackouts and a mad scramble across Europe to return to coal, gas and other things.”
Worse, the world’s biggest energy corporations have slashed capital investment in oil and gas by more than two-thirds and as a result, huge price rises are the inevitable result of forcing more energy out of an increasingly starved system.
Even more worrying, says environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg to Sky News, is that despite all the trillions spent on renewables, the UN’s International Energy Agency finds fossil fuels will still provide two-thirds of global energy use by 2050, only a modest drop from 79% today. WATCH:

Couldn’t be anything to do with sanctions on Russia, Iran, Venezuela etc., now, could it? That might mean the govts. fouled up – can’t admit to that, can they?
But don’t worry, the govts. will soon put most of us out of our misery with their ‘Safe & Effective’ ‘treatments’.
