World Economic Forum Elites Hit Turbulence Over Love Of Private Jets

The globalist elites and their private jets are now in Davos, Switzerland, for yet another World Economic Forum lie-fest built on a week of fine dining and billionaire back-slapping in luxurious surrounds – with a few meetings in between.

As they do they’re drawing contempt for their hypocrisy as elsewhere mere mortals are hectored to stop their own use of regular commercial air travel in the name of saving the planet.

More than a thousand private jets delivered dignitaries to last year’s summit in the plush Swiss holiday resort, a Greenpeace study revealed on Friday, and the sheer volume of flights generated four times the carbon dioxide emissions such aircraft would create in an average week, according to the report.

Greenpeace released the analysis, conducted by Dutch consultancy CE Delft, ahead of this year’s round of moneyed self-congratulation which began on the 18th.

“Europe is experiencing the warmest January days ever recorded and communities around the world are grappling with extreme weather events supercharged by the climate crisis,” Klara Maria Schenk, transport campaigner for Greenpeace in Europe, said in a statement.

“Meanwhile, the rich and powerful flock to Davos in ultra-polluting, socially inequitable private jets to discuss climate and inequality behind closed doors,” Schenk added, noting the WEF has long warned of impending doom because of the “worldwide disaster” of climate threats.

Of all the 1,040 private jets studied, 53 percent were for short-haul trips less than 466 miles, while 38 percent were under 311 miles, according to the report.

Greenpeace accused attendees of “ecological hypocrisy” when the emissions generated from all the private jets flying in and out of airports serving Davos last year were equivalent to those produced by about 350,000 average cars for a week.

Not that this is the first time the privileged Davos members have been accused of hypocrisy, demanding others change their ways while they board their luxury private jet transport.

As Breitbart News reported, back in 2015 a squadron of 1,700 jets rumbled into Davos and the Swiss Air Force was so overwhelmed by the air traffic that it was forced to open up a military air base for the first time ever to absorb the load.

In 2018, it happened again when the number of private jets spiked by 335 percent during the meetingaccording to Air Charter Service (ACS).

Research commissioned by the jet-hire company found an average of 218 private jet movements a day during the week’s forum, compared to the 65 daily flights Swiss airfields usually deal with.

The 2023 WEF meeting has a self-proclaimed goal of tackling the climate emergency and other “ongoing crises” and has called for “bold collective action.”

Private jet flights are not regulated in the E.U., but they are the most polluting mode of transport per passenger kilometer.

The French government has already virtue-signalled by banning short-haul commercial flights where “green alternatives ” are available and New Zealand may follow soon.

Greenpeace move around the seas in a diesel powered ship don’t they? Pan calling the kettle black.

Greenpeace are a total joke. Why don’t they storm davos and see what happens? Maybe not, because then they would have to get up and actually do something that could matter instead of complaining at a distance while polluting the seas.

Where are stop oil when you need them, oh that’s right, paid lunatics.

    Hypocrisy, ignorance, megalomania:

Both the attendees and the critics of this proverbial Globalist “SPECTRE” * gathering are each side guilty of all those attributes! (*who would have thought the fictional global domination antagonists of Ian Flemming were actually accurate real world predictions?)

Yes, business jets have slightly higher emissions rates per passenger mile than passenger jets, but neither is much higher than traveling by car, and all these jets are lower emissions than a big limousine. So this tooth gnashing is misguided and ignorant, or deliberately providing misinformation. Data to back up my assertion as follows:

small car = 0.221 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (4 passengers)
    B737-800 = 0.222 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (medium haul, 160 passengers)
    B747-400 = 0.239 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (long haul 400 passengers)
    G550 = 0.267 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (Gulfstream G550, carrying 10+3 crew)
    GIV-SP = 0.312 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (Gulfstream G4, carrying 6 +2 crew)
big limo = 0.348 lbs CO2 per passenger mile (6 passengers 1 driver)

Data derived from known fuel consumption for these average modes of transport. Note the B747-400 and both Gulfstream business jets are 20-30+ years old technology and newer versions are 10-20% more fuel efficient! So you see, business jets or passenger jets are really not the odious climate destroyers they are made out to be by the ignorant, hypocrites on the greens side. But it is also the height of hypocrisy for the SPECTRE people to tell us peasants we can’t stay warm, must eat bugs and cannot drive cars or fly on vacations.

Furthermore, I am a pilot and I checked the aviation maps and charts for the region around DAVOS, and the closest airport capable of accepting business jets to the evil genius conference is around 60 miles away. Then there are a handful of airports with long enough runways for business jets when you extend a circle out to about 80-120 miles radius. HOWEVER you cannot park more than about 10-20 business jets at any one of the 4-5 very small airports close to DAVOS.

So that adds up to maybe 100 to 150 business jets able to park for extended times at the handful of nearby airports. This means that either:
    1) greensh*t is lying about the number of jets, OR
    2) the 1,000 jets they speak of, can only drop off their passengers and must fly out to airports further away to park and wait for their owners or lessees, because this number cannot be accommodated at the nearby airports!

And then all the attendees flying in on private jets, need to spend 1-3 hours in a limousine to get from their airports to the conference. (airports able to land business jets are 60-120 miles from the conference in mountainous terrain)

I call bullchips on this so called study with regards to stating the trips were 53% under 466 miles, and 38% under 311 miles. First off that is nautical miles for aviation, second as indicated above, you cannot park 1,000 business jets at the airports near DAVOS. So flight plans filed to these nearby airports are in part the shuttling of the planes to areas they can park for the week. No one charters or flies their own jet for under 400 miles and then has to take a limo for the 2-3 hour journey from the nearby airport to the site. If you are 3-400 miles from DAVOS, it would be faster to just go by limousine.

Those short flights are to park the aircraft. (which admittedly is wasteful, but most of those jets have traveled thousands of miles, and then needed to go a short distance to park after dropping off their wannabe evil genius clan)

And if these idiots promulgating this drivel of a study merely analyzed the flight plans filed over the week, the shuttling of the planes to find parking means that each actual attendee plane makes 3 flights into/out of the DAVOS vicinity. So the actual number of planes carrying the Blofeld wannabes is more likely 300-500, not 1,000 as the shuttling for parking double or triple counts the number aircraft filing multiple flight plans during the conference.

Hypocrisy, ignorance, megalomania…. on both sides of this argument.

As a post script, why don’t the green nuts complain about elites flying by private jet to skiing destinations/resorts every weekend during winter? There is an order (or two) of magnitude more private jet flights to elite skiing destinations than the annual DAVOS gathering of evil genius’. See the following video, which is of a very successful entrepreneur who was a fighter pilot and now owns and flies a very small private jet, flying his family into Aspen:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AweWYD8e0BM (Aspen-Landing with all the Bells and Whistles going off!)

Note the relevant portion of the video is from time 32:00 to 36:00, showing the landing final and taxi to parking at Aspen, off season, and I count from 50-65 business jets parked there! Again where are the protesters and green nuts complaining about these “excesses”???
