What Is the Electric Universe?
Open a standard textbook in astronomy and read the discussion of galaxies, stars and planets. It will appear that gravity alone organized the cosmos and now keeps it running.
We all know that electricity powers our lights, runs our computers and, in an unleashed form, creates static shocks and awe-inspiring lightning bolts.
But for hundreds of years astronomers believed that across interplanetary, interstellar and intergalactic distances, only gravity could do the real work. Only gravity could gather clouds of gas and dust into a star or a planet. Only gravity could produce galaxies and massive clusters of galaxies.
The Electric Universe challenges this gravity-centric viewpoint.

Though not replacing gravity, the Electric Universe adds the essential role of charged particles in motion. Charged particles fill all of space as electrically conductive plasma. Plasma behaves differently than gas. The Sun is plasma. Stars are plasma. Galaxies are plasma. The filaments of magnetized and radiating matter between stars and between galaxies are plasma. The isolated islands we once imagined in space do not exist. A web of electromagnetism connects planets, moons, stars and galaxies.
The movement of charged particles is an electric current. These currents give rise to pervasive magnetic fields and to high-energy electrical events. They power exploding stars and erupt as intensely energetic jets from galactic cores.
Modern telescopes can now view these events at high resolution and across the full electromagnetic spectrum. Unexpected, elaborate structure has sprung to life in radio, infrared, ultraviolet, and X-ray wavelengths. These surprises of the space age call for a reexamination of long-held theories about how the universe works.
The EU is a growing body of fact and theoretical interpretation—a new perspective on the cosmos. The factual content comes primarily from space observations and laboratory experiments. In contrast, much of the gravity-centric view is based on mathematics.
Gravity is relatively easy to model mathematically. But electricity in space is a much different matter, due to the complex interplay of electric currents and magnetic fields. If inertial mass is equal to gravitational mass then gravity can never cause motion since the resistance to motion is equal to the impetus to motion. If a star converts mass into energy and transfers that energy/mass into space how can it have a greater mass and attractive force when the process ends?
There are two components that make up the universe: energy and matter. These are fields of forces that have opposite actions, with the force of energy (gravity, magnetism, and strong nuclear force) being greater than the matter (electric and weak nuclear force) force being attracted to the positive electric force and displacing the negative electric force. Mass is just how strongly the positive and negative fields are held in the energy field while motion is the flow of energy towards equalization. Objects orbit other objects because they are in equilibrium with the energy field being radiated by that object and cannot gain or lose energy.
Modern physics is self contradictory and nonsense.

How do neutrinos and black holes and dark matter and dark energy fit into Herbphysics? How does Herbphysics explain the latest atomic clock experiment where 2 advanced atomic clocks side by side are synchronized and then one clock is raised about one foot in elevation and then is recorded as running slightly faster than its twin….due to less gravity?

Everything based on a constant speed of light is nonsense because light is a disturbance traveling in the energy (magnetic) and matter (electric) fields that objects emit. The speed of everything, including your clocks, is determined by the strength of the fields in which it travels. According to Einstein an increase in gravity is equal to acceleration (The equivalence theory) so how do you explain That the clock in the weaker gravitational field (accelerating) goes faster? An increase in a gravitational field results in a slowing of time, just as an object approaching your imaginary black hole has time slow.

Light moves at a constant maximum speed thru a vacuum or a constant slower speed thru a constant medium such as water or glass. The latest atomic clocks are measuring time so precisely that the use of sea level in the definition of a standard second is no longer useful since sea level is too variable….the Webb Telescope position in space may be used in the definition of a standard second of time….a location where net gravity is very constant. The atomic clocks require low temps below one degree Kelvin which are achieved by using lasers to slow motion of atoms in a vacuum. They intend to try low temp experiments in the ISS where vacuum and low temps and zero gravity are more easily achieved….interesting physics that involves the Uncertainty Principle…Bose-Einstein Condensate…quantum mechanics….quantum computers….but no Electric Universe…or Herbphysics.
