UN Wants $4 to 6 Trillion Per Year To ‘Fight Climate Change’
The Guardian reports UN finds ‘no credible pathway to 1.5C in place’
It reports:
The UN environment report analysed the gap between the CO2 cuts pledged by countries and the cuts needed to limit any rise in global temperature to 1.5C, the internationally agreed target. Progress has been “woefully inadequate” it concluded.
Current pledges for action by 2030, if delivered in full, would mean a rise in global heating of about 2.5C and catastrophic extreme weather around the world. A rise of 1C to date has caused climate disasters in countries from Pakistan to Puerto Rico.
If the long-term pledges by countries to hit net zero emissions by 2050 were delivered, global temperature would rise by 1.8C. But the glacial pace of action means meeting even this temperature limit was not credible, the UN report said.
A study published this week found “large consensus” across all published research that new oil and gas fields are “incompatible” with the 1.5C target.
What Would It Cost?
At least $4 trillion to 6 trillion per year.
At least, which means this is the absolute minimum that will be required.
Which means in reality they will want much more than that.
“A global transformation from a heavy fossil fuel- and unsustainable land use-dependent economy to a low-carbon economy is expected to require investments of at least US$4–6 trillion a year,” stated the UN report (page 26 of 132).
Q: US$4–6 trillion a year for how many years?
A: Based on figure ES.6 (lead chart) least eight years.
Q: What Percent of GDP?
A: 4 to 9 percent for developing countries, and 2 to 4 percent for developed countries.
And developing countries will gladly fork over up to 9 percent of GDP every year for eight years.
Yeah, right.
Meanwhile, the EU is burning more trees and coal. Burning trees is magically deemed environmentally neutral.

The press and the global warming crowd deliberately suppress the fact that ANTARCTICA has had record cold, snow and ice accumulation for decades. Even the last few years, ANTARCTICA cold, snow and ice have hit record numbers.
The number of catastrophic hurricanes and tornadoes has dwindled the last couple of decades.
The oceans have not risen appreciably other than the normal waxing and waning of ice melt and evaporation cycles. If you try to google it, the first few pages will be pro global warming but when you drill down to the more reputable “scientific” sites it says no global warming. Also droughts, cold snaps, and weather extremes are the rule all throughout recorded history. There are records clear back to the 1400’s verifying this fact. One has to dig for this data because the political and globalists agenda has big-tech, the leftist media, et al working at sequestering real facts as the “Brown Shirts” did for Hitler. Most folks don’t even go past the first page and these hyena Globalists at google know this.
Lastly, look up the sun-spot cycle which is an eleven year cycle. The weather patterns on earth are affected profoundly by this cycle.
They try to explain it away with all kinds of mental gymnastics but it doesn’t pass the smell test. Funny one never hears of this, but then again suppression of reality by ideologues is commonplace.
The so-called doomed Great Barrier Reef is thriving and growing.

You’re right. I’m living in the southern hemisphere and we had avery cold winter. It’s due to the explosion of the Hunga Tonga volcano as Principia scientific reported. Of course climate hoons don’t report on this.

Supposed global warming/ice melt is well under way and has been for 15000 years. No stopping it. So Antarctic will all melt and seas will all rise by about 50 meters, as already happened by about 100m in those 15k years since the Earth wobbled or something, enabling civilisation. The preferred political system of problem solving, throw cash at it and hope some if not most will end in my pockets, is also well under way too. What they don’t want is someone to actually solve the problem; indeed friend Putin has found a way to make it even worse, and should take any leftover Ignobel prizes. Humanity is just a 5 thousand year glitch in 5 billion years of Earths existence. If we don’t get moving (50m higher at least), we can only say, better luck next time.

But you never know; changes are cyclical, maybe we’ll go back to the ice age and all our mountains and northern plains again under a mile of ice, and the sea a hundred meters lower. If CO2 reduction should actually happen, however unlikely, it could even help remove humanity, who need CO2 for plant growth. In any case, it’s time to stop equating human life time with the Earth’s time scale.
