UN Says Ukraine War May Be Good For The Climate
The head of the U.N. weather agency says the war in Ukraine “may be seen as a blessing” from a climate perspective because it is accelerating the development of and investment in green energies over the longer term — even though ‘fossil fuels’ are being used at a time of high demand now.
Petteri Taalas (pictured), secretary-general of the UN’s World Meteorological Organization said:
“From the five- to 10-year timescale, it’s clear that this war in Ukraine will speed up our consumption of fossil energy, and it’s speeding up this green transition.”
“So we are going to invest much more in renewable energy, energy-saving solutions… so from climate perspective, the war in Ukraine may be seen as a blessing,” Taalas added.
Climate Depot’s Morano’s comment:

The UN joins many other climate campaigners in cheering on the chaos, calamity, and hardship that wars, shortages, and disruption cause the world.
Morano adds:
As the UN now openly admits, high energy prices and shortages are NOT the unintended consequences of the Green New Deal-style policies, they are the INTENDED consequences.
In short, there is no better way to increase the politicians’ and bureaucrats’ power than by exploiting war, tragedy and chaos.
Skyrocketing energy prices are exactly what the climate and environmental agenda demand and has demanded for the past 50-plus years.
Here’s the bottom line. Climate Change has never been proven. The theory is based on computer programs created by humans, who never know all the elements that affect the world’s climate.
Years ago, they demanded satellite warming data be used to follow climate change. They correctly said the satellite data would be more accurate than the terrestrial data. However, when the satellite data proved their hypothesis wrong, they returned to terrestrial data.
Peer the past seven years and five months, the satellite data shows no increase in temperature.
But that doesn’t matter to climate change enthusiasts. For the past twenty months, ever since an administration prioritized “fixing” climate change above anything else, America’s economy has gone to hell. And the head of the climate change branch of the United Nations, the organization built on promoting peace, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has resulted in killing human beings, is a good thing because, “from a climate perspective, the war in Ukraine may be seen as a blessing,”
