Too Cold to Swim Now, But Not in 1928
Almost everyone wants us to believe that it is hotter, and if not hotter, then maybe colder. That the climate has become catastrophic
Of course, those of you who have been following my work for some years know the effort that I have put into attempting some integrity in temperature measuring.
It is exactly ten years ago now that I was working really hard and being very transparent with my numbers, showing that the Australian Bureau of Meteorology produces fraudulent remodelled temperature series that are then promoted as historically accurate records of our temperature history in accordance with the theory of catastrophic human-caused global warming.
Gerard Henderson from The Sydney Institute was kind enough to give me a platform to explain this, though he asked I not use the word fraudulent.
That was ten years ago.
It does seem like a long time to be continuing to explain something so fundamental. And it seems surprising to me, that after all this time, Henderson is still the only person to give me a platform and to stand on stage with me.
He is the only public intellectual in the West to very publicly and very personally endorse me.
Of course, following that endorsement Chris Mitchell, then the editor of The Australian newspaper, was under some pressure to do something. Also in part because Case Smit made such a fuss.
If anything is to change we need those in positions of power to care enough, to be prepared to make a fuss.
And so a series of articles followed in The Australian newspaper. At the time, some thought that journalist Graham Lloyd might end up winning a Walkley Award for excellence in journalism for those articles culminating in an expose of Rutherglen.
Instead, Lloyd was banished to South America, for a time. After Rutherglen, the gatekeepers at the IPCC and the Bureau were making it difficult for Lloyd to operate, denying him access to embargoed copy and that sort of thing.
The games they play. By they, I mean the mainstream climate scientists and even all those who have held tenure for any period at a university. (Some have defected to ‘our side’ and they still want to be the roosters and they still play dangerous games.)
What I said that evening on 25th June 2014 – ten years ago – is still relevant so relevant, and my speech notes with so many charts are still available at my website. You can read how and why historical temperatures are remodelled through the process of homogenisation in that paper.
This paper details just one of the issues with historical temperature reconstructions. For sure there is fraud, and as I have explained at my most recent blog post: those in positions of power including on our side have done nothing about it.

It is also the case that every member of the Australian parliament who has helped me, who has cared and who has tried to do something about the fraud has lost their preselection, or been forced out of the Australian Liberal party.
Beginning with Dennis Jensen MP who is an author on the paper I link across to, in my most recent blog post. Then, of course, there is Craig Kelly MP who once had 60,000 plus Facebook followers, before he was cancelled.
