The Green New Deal Just Got Buried by Its Own Data

Joe Biden spent four years telling you fossil fuels were dying. The world just used more oil, gas, and coal than at any point in human history.
A new global energy report just dropped – and what it says about Trump’s bet on American oil will leave Democrats speechless.
The Numbers Climate Zealots Don’t Want You to See
The Energy Institute’s 2026 Statistical Review of World Energy is a disaster for the radical climate agenda.
Fossil fuels – oil, natural gas, and coal – supplied 86% of global energy in 2025. Not 60%. Not 70%. Eighty-six percent.
That number hasn’t budged in decades, despite trillions poured into wind farms and solar panels, despite every green mandate, every EV subsidy, every radical leftist policy designed to force Americans off oil and gas.
The world isn’t transitioning away from fossil fuels.
It’s consuming more of them than at any point in recorded history.
Meanwhile, Trump was building America into the most dominant energy producer on earth.
U.S. oil production hit a record 21.1 million barrels per day in 2025, according to the Energy Institute – nearly matching Saudi Arabia and Russia’s combined crude output.
The Department of Energy puts total American oil and liquid fuels production even higher: 24 million barrels per day, more than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined.
America also became the first country in history to export more than 100 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas in a single year.
“Even left-wing studies are finding that President Trump’s energy dominance agenda has been undeniably successful in unleashing reliable, affordable, and secure energy,” White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told Fox News.
Why the Strait of Hormuz Proves Trump Right
About 20 million barrels of oil and one-fifth of the world’s liquefied natural gas pass through that narrow waterway every day.
When Iran threatened that chokepoint, oil prices surged past $100 a barrel for the first time in four years.
This is exactly what happens when you let your enemies control your energy supply.
Your grandfather remembers the 1973 Arab oil embargo – gas lines around the block, crude prices quadrupling, an economy on its knees.
That crisis removed 4.5 million barrels per day from global supply.
The Hormuz disruption puts 20 million barrels per day at risk – nearly five times worse, making it the largest oil supply shock in the history of the modern economy.
Heritage Foundation chief economist EJ Antoni didn’t mince words: “The Iran war has shown us it’s not simply enough for America to be pumping at current levels. America needs to be not just energy independent, but energy dominant.”
Economist Steve Moore agrees, noting that every Middle East flare-up sends energy markets into chaos – and the world’s dependence on Hormuz keeps making it worse.
That’s the lesson Democrats have refused to learn for 50 years.
Democrats Built This Crisis
Every time oil prices spike, Americans get hurt.
Your gas bill goes up. Grocery prices go up – because trucking runs on diesel.
Heating bills go up.
Everything costs more, because everything in the supply chain runs on fossil fuels.
Democrats told you for four years that was the point.
Higher prices would force you into an electric vehicle you can’t afford, charged by wind power that doesn’t work when the wind isn’t blowing.
Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline on day one.
His administration blocked drilling permits, strangled LNG exports, and handed $7.5 billion to green energy grifters who built eight EV charging stations.
Eight.
Meanwhile, global fossil fuel demand keeps rising – driven by AI data centers, developing nations that just want electricity, and EVs that run on coal-fired power to charge.
Trump saw all of it.
He declared a national energy emergency, opened federal lands, approved nearly 6,000 drilling permits – a 55% increase over Biden – and told American producers to go.
American families are now expected to spend $11 billion less at the gas pump in 2026 than they did in 2022.
The green energy lobby told you for decades that fossil fuels were finished.
The data just proved them wrong. Again.
