This effect, which allows light to cause evaporation of water independently of heat, could revolutionize our understanding of climate systems and the sun’s impact on climate change.
NASA acknowledges the sun as the primary source of Earth’s heat, thereby playing a crucial role in the climate system. Solar irradiance—the sun’s output of energy reaching Earth—has been closely monitored, with variations associated with the sun’s magnetic activity and sunspot cycle.
According to NASA, the changes in solar irradiance are too small to account for the climate change observed in recent decades. Instead, NASA’s studies emphasize the amplifying effect of human-made CO2 and other greenhouse gases on global warming.
In its various assessment reports, the IPCC has consistently evaluated the role of solar irradiance in climate change, generally concluding that changes in solar energy output have played a relatively minor role in climate change since the pre-industrial era, especially when compared to the dominant influence of greenhouse gases like CO2.
AR6 discusses how natural factors, including solar activity, do contribute to climate variability but do not account for the overall warming trend observed over the last several decades.
However, the recent discovery by researchers at MIT, known as the photomolecular effect, unveils a significant dimension in our understanding of water evaporation—a process fundamental to Earth’s climate system.

The people “studying” the atmosphere are idiots who start with the premise that what they believe is “right” and all theories must accept these beliefs as gospel. Any contradiction needs to be ignored. The contention that during the solar cycle the output of the sun doesn’t change significantly and yet the Earth significantly cools during solar minimums shows how blind they are to reality. While the output of visible light doesn’t change much the output of Uv, emitted by solar flares, does change significantly. This is the spectrum absorbed by the nitrogen and oxygen (breaking the bonds in molecules and producing ozone) and is converted into IR which helps heat the surface.
They have no concept of the nature of water. The phase chart of water shows at standard pressure (sea level) water cannot be a gas below its boiling point. The “experts” have never sweated evidently and don’t seem to know that evaporation is a cooling process where water absorbs IR. To believe that evaporation is creating a gas that is warming the Earth (Green House Gas) is the height of stupidity.
They have now discovered that water evaporates independent of heat which means at last someone has made them aware of sublimation. They get paid to preserve the fantasy of their “science”.

Someone actually wrote this? So, water evaporates on its own with the addition of no thermal energy? Please, try to explain this to the dumb folks who operate steam-electric plants.
Obviously, the person who wrote this has never studied basic Thermodynamics.

I suppose the important pieces are in the paper (need access to read it), so it’s hard to know how they came to their conclusions.
The research is from the sun clearing fog, but I don’t see any mention of the moon.
I also didn’t see any mention of density, which would be a necessary variable due to altitude, but I wasn’t able to read the full paper.
Molecular spacing matters, its a prime thing.
Would be interesting to see the specific angles of incidence, polarity, etc…

Climate change is a dynamic process that is ongoing, cyclical, and trending between ice ages and interglacial periods with anomalous differences in the mix. AGW, or manmade climate change, is a scam and a hoax. How many people fall for it depends on the level of indoctrination and susceptibility to so-called experts.

Isn’t it easy to understand that anomalous periods, like the Medieval Warm Period and the Little Ice Age were not predictable in their respective timelines?
Climate doesn’t travel in a straight line of warming or cooling. There are exceptions to trend lines. We do know with a great deal of certainty that the earth will continue to warm and cool without the assistance of human activity.
