NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo: ‘We Must Re-open Economy!’
Well, how about this. The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, just released the following Tweet:
“We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open. We must reopen the economy, but we must do it smartly and safely.”
Read that again: “The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open.”
That’s pretty much what every sensible person has been saying from the beginning.
Well, after months and months of telling New Yorkers that lockdown with no end in sight was the best approach, Cuomo is having a hard time convincing them that opening is a good idea. The comments are beyond belief: his followers think his problem was in not locking down enough.
I actually engaged with one of them. She evidently had no idea that Florida was not only completely open, but also had significantly better numbers than New York despite its old population, its constant flow of tourists coming in and out, and its regular influx of “snowbirds” from up north.
Then, in England, the notorious Professor Neil Ferguson is suddenly willing to suggest that “herd immunity” could be on the horizon.

‘Professor Lockdown’ Neil Ferguson has revealed that London could already have herd immunity against the coronavirus which will help life ‘get back to normal’ by autumn.
Ferguson, whose grim predictions of 500,000 deaths in the UK convinced the government to implement the first lockdown, told The Sunday Times he believes there will soon be a slowdown in infection rates and perhaps a decline.
He said: ‘That may be slightly aided by the fact there is quite a lot of herd immunity in places like London. Maybe 25 per cent or 30 per cent of the population has now been infected in the first wave and second wave.
‘So that adds to the reduction of transmission.’
He also predicted that the Northwest of England — another area where large numbers have been infected — could be on its way to herd immunity too.
For what it’s worth, Dr. Fauci told a performing arts group that if the vaccination campaign goes well (a huge if with Dr. Fauci), they could be back to performing before audiences by autumn.
This is all still much too long, but I find it interesting that Ferguson and Fauci have begun uttering the words “back to normal” — a phrase they have resolutely refused to use up to now.
It’s not metaphysically impossible that they’re being sincere, but the timing seems a bit fishy, does it not?

This whole thing was a scam for multiple reasons. The highest on the list was that it was to be used to remove President Trump. Money and murder were the next reasons. That’s why this was so heavily pushed by democrat politicians. Now that their primary objective appears to have occurred they want to look like heroes and get back to normal. The trouble is that the people who have supported this for so long are so incredibly brainwashed it will be very difficult for them to get the idea that non of this is no longer necessary. I say just open up and let them deal with it.

Cuomo the savior (ONLY IN HIS OWN MIND!) His moves may have killed 11,000 people just from C-19. Never mind those from the failed state of law reform. BLM, Antifa, rioting (Peaceful Protesting). Only to reopen the state since Biden is elected (stolen). And Cuomo possibly thinks he has no money to run the state, due to his own actions (like he would admit it.
