Nobel Laureate: UK Lockdown Killed More Than It Saved
Professor Michael Levitt of Stanford University predicts that the UK will be rid of Covid-19 within weeks but the bad news is that he believes the lockdown could have caused more deaths than it saved.
Nobel laureate scientist, Michael Levitt said that the modelling that caused the government to bring in the lockdown – carried out by Professor Neil Ferguson – over-estimated the death toll by ’10 or 12 times’, and suggested that the decision was motivated by ’panic’ rather than the best science.
Speaking to the British daily national newspaper, The Telegraph, the Stanford University professor was scathing at how panic measures took over from sensible science. The Telegraph reports:
“Michael Levitt, a Stanford University professor who correctly predicted the initial trajectory of the pandemic, sent messages to Professor Neil Ferguson in March telling the influential government advisor he had over-estimated the potential death toll by “10 or 12 times”.
The Imperial College professor’s modelling, a major factor in the Government’s apparent abandoning of a so-called herd-immunity policy, was part of an unnecessary “panic virus” which spread among global political leaders, Prof Levitt now tells the Telegraph.”

Neil Ferguson has a HISTORY of bad disease models. Remember when he predicted 150 million dead from bird flu? Or up to 50,000 dead from mad cow disease?

Neil Ferguson’s name will go down in history.
Followed by the names of those of eminance, that are only NOW speaking with the voice of reason… NOW when it is too late. Sorry but just as pointless as the`too late’ Climate Realists

I find it incredulous that monumental blunderers like Neil Fearguson maintain gainful employment, given his track record.
Government isn’t any better in this respect & no doubt will continue the stratification of fear into as many areas that it possibly can post lockdown.
If lockdown was a dead cat on the table. How many more dead cats?
