News from the McCullough Foundation
As many readers of Courageous Discourse Substack know, until the spring of 2020, I worked in the mainstream of academic medicine, holding leadership positions in major medical centers. I never thought of myself as a dissident and nor did I ever contemplate becoming one.
With the arrival of COVID-19, my conscience compelled me to ascertain (as best as I could) what could be done to treat the illness.
I wasn’t courting controversy or looking for trouble; I was simply trying to help people to avoid hospitalization and death.
To my great surprise, my efforts put me at odds with U.S. federal health agencies and other academic medical institutions that align themselves with the directives and policies issued from these agencies.
In 2022, two philanthropists (one in Arizona and one in Texas) strongly encouraged me to start a new charitable institution that would enable concerned citizens to support my efforts and enable me to enlist the help of other talented and skilled people.
They advised me that with an organization and a division of labor, I could greatly increase my productivity as an investigative scholar and educator.
And so I started the McCullough Foundation. Some of our Substack readers have expressed interest in learning more about this new institution and have donated to it. The following provides an update of what we accomplished in 2023, and the many projects we have in the works for 2024.
Reviewing 2023 and Looking Forward to 2024
2023 was a seminal year for the McCullough Foundation in which we received (on June 29) 501(c)(3) status recognition from the IRS and substantial donations from philanthropists totaling approximately $600,000 in cash and securities earmarked for endowment and operations.
Your extraordinary generosity not only provides us with resources to do our work, but also tremendous inspiration and encouragement. I cannot thank you enough.
The heart of our mission is performing investigative scholarship for safeguarding public health and the rights of our free citizenry. This begins with acquiring knowledge of what poses a true threat to public health and being able to distinguish true threats (such as hastily developed and improperly tested medical products) from grossly exaggerated or fabricated threats.
Through investigative scholarship, my colleagues and I have ascertained that, while COVID-19 poses little risk to the young, COVID-19 vaccines pose a considerable risk to the young. This is surely one of the most terrible ironies in medical history.
In 2023 I continued my ongoing investigation of the risk of vaccine-induced myocarditis—a condition I’m seeing with increasing frequency in my clinical practice. I am therefore pleased to announce that our paper, Autopsy Proven Fatal COVID-19 Vaccine-Induced Myocarditis (co-authored with Hulscher, N.; Hodkinson, R.; Makis, W.) has been peer-reviewed and fully accepted by the journal Heart Failure, published by the European Society of Cardiology.
Another major story we investigated in 2023—a story I believe will go down as the greatest organized crime and coverup in history—is the lab origin of SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19.
McCullough Foundation Secretary, John S. Leake, is a seasoned true crime investigator. He is bringing all his experience and skills to bear in revealing the truth of this terrible episode that our U.S. government agencies and mainstream media continue to conceal.
In 2024, the McCullough Foundation will produce a major documentary film that will elucidate the truth of this matter for all of humanity to see. Educating the public is another key objective of our mission, and the best way to achieve this is through high quality audio-visual productions.
We are currently assembling a team of skilled (independently contracted) videographers and editors to assist us in producing gripping documentaries that lay audiences can easily understand.
As a lifelong lover of medical scholarship, I am especially gratified to announce the McCullough Foundation is partnering with IPAK (Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge) to support and collaborate in the publication Science, Public Health Policy and the Law—a journal of scientific research that is entirely free from bio-pharmaceutical industry influence.
I believe it is no exaggeration to state that we are destined to make scientific history with this journal, whose mission is perfectly aligned with ours.
Finally, I am delighted to announce the McCullough Foundation has awarded its first annual fellowship to an extraordinarily diligent and talented young scholar named Nicolas Hulscher.
Nic is currently an MPH Candidate in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He will serve as a paid intern, and I am confident he will provide invaluable assistance as an investigative scholar, writer, and administrator.
If the last few years are any guide, 2024 is sure to be an eventful and tumultuous year for our Constitutional Republic.
We at the McCullough Foundation will work hard to investigate what is happening in our complex and confusing world and to tell the truth about it. We greatly appreciate your support.
Happy New Year!
