Geologist and earth scientist Professor Ian Plimer says the “climate is cyclical” as a new study claims Earth is heading to an ice age.
“We are getting towards the end of the warm period, the peak of the warmth was about 5,000 years ago and we are heading for the next inevitable ice age,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
Professor Plimer says every occurrence of icebergs expanding and shrinking happened with “more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than now”.
“To use the word ‘unprecedented’ shows you have expunged history and geology from your knowledge.”

I like Ian Plimer and his book “Climate Change Delusion and the Great Electricity Rip-off “. It is a very easy read and importantly not only talks about the climate but about the disastrous energy policies that result from politicians believing the fake science.
In the video Ian points out the dumbing down of education. Have Greta Thunberg, her followers and Richard Attenborough never seen the temperature and carbon dioxide graphs from ice cores? They show a pattern of ice ages and interglacial warm periods. Anybody claiming we now have uncontrolled global warming must explain what caused the past climate changes and what has happened to change these trends. It certainly is not carbon dioxide or any human activity. A simple search will produce the information from ice cores and even Greta and Attenborough must be capable of this, but they do not want their beliefs shattered by facts.
I was astonished to see the Royal Institution Christmas lecture this year showing a chart of past temperature changes, although it was just string threaded round pins. It was unlike any temperature record I have ever seen, and it eliminated all the past history of ice ages. How does a great scientific institution, the BBC and the Imperial College professor get aways with such rubbish?
Hi Alan, Alan here,
The best way to do this is browse the Arctic/Antarctic ice core samples for the Pleistocene era ~800K yrs. You will see a series of spikes ~100K years apart. Most probably Milankovitch sun cycles – glacial to inter glacial temps and we are now in the Holocene inter glacial period of warmth.
It is reasonable to think that the M sun cycles will continue and glaciation and their negative consequences to life will reoccur.
Cheers
based on history I would say another ice age is coming. I doubt that anyone wandering around the planet at the present time will have to worry about it. Or maybe anyone for a few thousand years to come. Oh well, we need something to panic about the whu who flu effect will soon wear off.
