New Narrative: Coffee Production Causes ‘Climate Change’
The world’s elite gathered in million-dollar chalets at Davos, espousing about ‘climate change’ and ‘sustainability’ while indulging in pure opulence.
The champagne and caviar-fueled discussions, lavish parties, and discreet transactions (prostitutes flock to Davos this week for some reason) reek of hypocrisy.
The cognitive dissonance is enough to shatter a chandelier. While advocating for responsible resource management, these captains of industry arrive in flying fuel guzzlers, their ‘carbon’ footprint heavier than their egos, but still dare to lecture us about… coffee?
According to a recent study, coffee production can generate anywhere from 15.33 to 3.51 kg of CO2 equivalent (CO2e) per kg of coffee, depending on the farming and processing methods used as well as the distance and method by which it is transported to the importing country.
Let’s use 10 kg of CO2e per 1 kg of coffee for simplicity’s sake. This would mean that the average person produces about 13 kg of CO2e from the 1.3 kg of coffee that they consume. For the USA, that number is significantly higher as the average American consumes 4.4 kg of coffee per year resulting in CO2e of 44 kg.
Now let’s compare that to the private jets used to fly to Davos, presumably. Depending on the size of his private aircraft the amount of CO2e can vary from 3-5 kg per mile. Let’s use 4 kg per mile as an average.
Ditching your daily coffee habit for a year could save as much emissions as jets burning through fuel for a short hop of just 3-5 miles (10 miles for American coffee drinkers).
Rules for thee but not for me.
Davos serves as a clear reminder between rhetoric and reality.
It’s a microcosm of our global disconnect, where pronouncements of unity and progress by global elites often mask a web of self-interest and hypocrisy.
These people are 1000 times more dangerous to you, your prosperity, and the prosperity of billions in developing nations than a couple of degrees of warming.

The purported ’causes’ of so called Climate Change become increasingly Pythonesque by the day.

Blather on, oh oracles of doom. Your pronouncements are a guide of what not to follow. Was C19 real, or if it was, even a threat, no! Will I take the vaxx or any recommendation by WHO, no! Will I ever buy an EV, no! Will I ever submit myself as a human lab rat to experimentation by the medical pharmaceutical industrial complex? What do you think?

BTW, there’s no such thing as man made climate change. Only the easily led would fall for such an agenda. The climate of earth has been changing since the origin of the planet, progressing through ice ages and interglacial periods with anomalous periods mixed into the record. We are currently in an interglacial period that will precede the next ice age.
Have a look at the Eemian record.

CO2 is a simple molecule that does not in any way generate heat do it cannot increase the temperature of anything. It simply passes on the heat energy already in the environment by conduction, convection or radiation from heat sources to heat sinks thereby moderating the temperature.
How much longer is this stupid claim that CO2 causes “global warming” going to be repeated ?

Bevan:

JMcG:
People that believe that CO2 causes dramatic atmospheric warming do so because they are confused, lazy-minded, and don’t want to go against the crowd. They don’t do so because they have any empirical evidence that support this position. But if you point this out to the they will become angry and dismiss you as being one of “them.”
CO2 Forcing misinformation is a small part of the total misinformation about the atmosphere and its processes. And equally dumb and empirically unsupported notion is the notion of convection. You believe in convection for the same reasons that they believe in CO2 forcing. You are confused, lazy-minded and don’t want to go against the crowd.

Until their asses are completely Frozen in the middle of the night with the sudden appearance of the next ice age via the current solar minimum introduction… basically an artic front extending south to Brownsville, Texas for the next 10k years..
And the Antarctic growing north to Venezuela.
Maybe, the entire planet will be a frosted mess.

Talkin’ of a disconnect — imagine a drunk speaker, kinda reminding of Dave Allen (RIP):
“I, for one, umh, claim that global worming of the universe, eh ehm, is caused by the booze aging! You see, ehm eh, they put a good 75% booze into the-ehm oak barrels and leave them outside, rain or snow or shine and years later, eh umh, they open them to find out that 1/3 of the good stuff is gone!! Eh ehm eh! They call that an “angel portion” — but you should know, eh ehm, that this nonsense causes the whole universe to heat up!! So WE are, umh, petitioning that Schwab of WEF, eh ehm, to ban booze aging!!!”
Cheers, eh ehm umh

Do you think this CO2 farce is one of those ridiculous narratives contrived to see how absurd they an become and still have people stupid enough to keep believing? Remember the movement to have people put clothes on animals to reduce obscenity scam, started as a challenge to show how you can get people to fall for even the most ridiculous proposition.

Hi Herb,
In some cases, I like the “Pythonesque” nature (thanks Len W.) and in some other cases, I like the Dave Allen, or even the Benny Hill’s style. Mind you these giants of comedy don’t really deserve the put-down by association with the Globus Worming BS crowd.
Cheers, JaKo

At 54, I have never liked coffee, but if drinking it will piss off the globalist pedophile cabal, I’ll take two cups a day. Anybody know where I can get a middle-finger decorated mug?

I remember years back when the comedians Penn and Teller went to COP 19[?].
They had a clipboard and were busy signing up eager delegates to sign their petition to ban dihydrogen oxide.
The delegates did not question them.
Yes, ban it as it is causing global warming.
