New Met Office Weather Station Right Next To Solar Panels
As many may know, Tallbloke has been regularly posting updates by Ray Sanders for his Weather Station Project
This one is a beauty, which should shock anybody reading it:

In short, the Met Office opened a new station in the Scottish Highlands in May this year, since when it has daily highs for the region five times.
As Ray reveals, the thermometer, indicated by a red dot, is adjacent to some solar panels and just south of a line of trees, shielding it from north winds.
There is also a car park close by.
As Ray writes, “the obvious question is, why within a site extending to over 10,000 acres could the Met Office not find a Class 1 location? Well almost certainly because they probably did not want to.”
