Masking, Lockdowns, Travel Restrictions, Vaccines Useless

During the waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, I concluded that early treatment protocols and the development of natural immunity after the index case of COVID-19 were the most important determinants of both subsequent cases and survival.

An analysis from Quinn et al has concluded the prized government non-pharmacological interventions (NPI) (masking, social distancing, lockdowns, travel restrictions etc.) and mass vaccination had little or no impact in the occurrence of cases or death in Europe. Instead the seasonality of other human beta-coronaviruses influenced the models.

“For our analysis, we carried out a population-based observational ecological study of six countries in Northern Europe. To do this, we statistically compared these three factors over time to the pandemic dynamics (including timings and magnitudes of the rises and falls of each “wave”) for each of six neighboring Northern European countries (Ireland, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland) with an estimated population of 99.8 million in 2020…we could not find clear or consistent evidence that the stringency of NPIs or vaccination reduced the progression of the pandemic…We hypothesize that the apparent influence of NPIs and vaccines might instead be an effect of coronavirus seasonality. We suggest that policymakers consider these results when assessing policy options for future pandemics.”

As you can see, the NPI’s and vaccines appeared to be useless as we witnessed fully masked, locked down, and vaccinated persons contract COVID-19. In the future we should always prioritize early treatment and carefully record the acquisition of natural immunity. Massive efforts to “escape” the index occurrence of a highly infectious respiratory virus are futile. We should have all expected to contract SARS-CoV-2, manage it, and move on in life. The massive waste of government interventions driven by the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex will go down as the largest sinkhole for money and public health efforts in history.
