Listen: Rape Victim Opens Up to PSI Psychologist Live on Air

Just 14-years-old and walking home from school, Jodie Cook was attacked and raped by a complete stranger. Now an adult many years later, those events are revisited with Principia Scientific International’s, Dr Elsa Schieder, a Canadian psychologist skilled in helping victims of such harrowing crimes.

Recorded live for TNT Radio, Jodie Cook, now 25 and living her best life, tells a story of hope from adversity.

This is her story of how she was not only a rape victim but how she became an unwitting pawn to prove ‘white supremacy’ on an American black radio show with a conspicuous race agenda:

“On the 28th of May 2022 I was invited to appear on TNT Radio to discuss my prior experience as a guest on an American black radio show where I was ambushed and demeaned while discussing the book, Lucky by Alice Sebold and new revelations of a falsely convicted ‘rapists’. Having worked with TNT’s presenter, John O’Sullivan on other projects at Principia Scientific, I agreed and we were joined by Elsa Schieder, a respected psychologist.

While it began as a discussion about my own experience as a rape survivor on the black radio show and my strong empathy with Sebold’s book Lucky ,it quickly evolved into a much larger discussion as Dr Schieder helped me evaluate my own personal experiences and my emotional attachment to Sebold’s writing and what that meant for me.”

Jodie’s frank details of the aftermath of her traumatic rape moved the conversation into exploring how people often cope with these horrendous experiences very differently.

Surprisingly, over the course of the two-hour broadcast Jodie revealed she had much empathy for the many innocent men falsely accused of this horrific crime, stating that innocent men wrongly accused and prosecuted can be as much victims of evil as women.

Cook, who maintains her own literary blog, revealed that she had done considerable personal research in this area:

“What can be seen is patterns in responses, like how men who are accused, falsely or not, are tried in the court of public opinion first and the legal court second which tends to end badly for them whether their innocence is proved or not.”

The conversation moved onto how, in this age of “Woke” the legal and political systems have seen a shift in views on rape and rape culture.

Jodie Cook, a widely-read university undergraduate who helps fund her studies by occasionally doing editing, proof reading for Principia Scientific International (PSI) lamented how society has seemed to become worryingly permissive. She explained:

“Taboo literature is becoming more popular and this is adding to issues with rape culture since we aren’t educated on consent. There is also a huge generational element since 20-30 years ago these topics wouldn’t have been discussed at all or if they were used in things like books they were demonised, think Nabokov’s Lolita which introduced pedophilia into high brow modern literature.”
