Kill Offshore Wind To Save the Whales

Wind farms kill whales. Save the Whales is so twentieth-century. Kill the Whales is 2024, if Big Wind gets their way in the Pacific

We’re living under RENEWABLES ÜBER ALLES now.

‘Renewables’ have a hall pass to ignore environmental and economic rules that everyone followed until recently, until everything dramatically changed in 2020 — when the Before Times ended.

Now, they are faultless forces, allowed to kill whales, kill raptors, kill seals, otters and other marine mammals. MAMMALS, they kill mammals! Your dog is a mammal. They kill mammal mamas, with their calves & pups.

The High Priests of Green have bestowed dispensation on ‘renewables’.

  • RENEWABLES can do no wrong, believe faithful Greens.

  • The Western World hasn’t seen commercial sin forgiveness this systemically corrupt since the Borgias occupied the Throne of Saint Peter.

BIG WIND Revealed

Offshore wind California is the latest expansion of the multinational business cartel known as Big Wind. They are in league with Big Solar, like Biden is in league with Bernie.

Big Wind’s collaborators include Shell, the Biden Administration (both DOE & DOI, with Treasury just offscreen, printing the money), California’s very own CPUC (regulator of PG&E), PG&E, Vineyard Offshore, Ørsted (a Danish multinational), the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust and many California politicians, including coastal sell-outs Dawn Addis and John Laird.

That’s a hell of a list, including Biden’s ballbusters, plus PG&E and their regulator, and a whole lot of money. Like, a super lotta money, all politically controlled.

Useful Idiots vs. The Truth

“They’re doing it to save the planet.” Most minions of Big Wind truly believe that. Fine. Bully for them, useful idiots one and all.

The Truth: Lots of people are getting rich off of Big Wind, really rich. Being pro-wind has been berry, berry good for them. For every other creature great & small, disaster.

Predictable Consequences

What’s gonna happen when Big Wind Farms inevitably go bankrupt? Will their ginormous towers of solid waste be left for future civilizations to discover?

What do their neighbors think? Here’s what: Onshore residents hate Offshore Wind, from Massachusetts to New Jersey. Windmills ruin the view and harsh the vibe.

Blinders Off

Thanks to pioneering scientific investigation by C. Michael Hogan, Ph.D., Chair & President of the California Arts & Science Institue, the blinders are off regarding Big Wind. Indeed, Dr. Hogan’s the hero that whales need in 2024.

He’s taught me much. His newly published article in The Encyclopedia of Earth, simply titled Offshore Wind Power, dispassionately documents a parade of horribles. It begins with Offshore Wind’s impacts to aquatic biota, yet also includes deforestation, toxicity, national security and battery problems, plus more.

But, this blog post is about marine mammals. So let’s go there.

Death & Destruction

Big Wind has already caused massive death and destruction along the Atlantic Coast. Let’s keep it real. Atlantic whales have been getting killed for years now, on both sides of the Pond. These mass whale deaths, plus seal, otter and bird deaths, all follow Big Wind Farms.

This is happening from Scotland to Rhode Island and points beyond.

American whale deaths shot up in 2016 when Big Wind constructed the first Kill Zone, er, Wind Farm, off Block Island. Why? The construction is insanely loud, over 200dB. That’s instant-deafness-loud, for we humans, let alone for our cetacean cousins.

Whale Ears Matter

Whales have the best ears on Planet Earth. Whale Ears are gigantic. Their inner-ears are 100X larger than ours. Our’s are the size of pencil-erasers. Their’s are a foot long!

Those remarkable organs discern subtle sounds from fellow whales, all the better to use their robust vocabularies. How cool is that?! Even cooler is that Whale Ears enable echolocation for sonar navigation. IOW, whales navigate by sound. Whale Ears matter.

BOOM ⇒ DEAFNESS ⇒ DEATH

Big Wind’s big noise destroys Whale Ears. BOOM, certain deafness.

Whale experts put it this way: A deaf whale is a dead whale.

Yo Sherlock

Here’s the thing: Hundreds of dead whales have been retrieved the past few years from around offshore Big Wind Farms. The government claims they most likely died from vessel strikes and/or other non-noise causes. Really? Yo Sherlock: Check their ears.

Whales navigate by sonar sound coming to their ears, i.e., until they encounter the MASSIVE NOISE from Big Wind Farms, which apparently renders them deaf.

So, the obvious move is to necropsy their ears. See if they are indeed deaf. But, NOAA has apparently refused to do that, for over a year now, on over 100 DEAD WHALES.

It doesn’t take Holmes & Watson to realize something stinks here, stinks worse than a dead whale on a beach under a hot summer sun. Nothing stinks worse than that. Plus, the cause of the stink is hiding just out of plain sight.

It’s in their ears. But, NOOOO!

Big Wind cares about Big Money

Big Wind doesn’t care about Dead Whales. Those fancy-pants people care mostly about money. Their money, not your money. Your money is for PG&E & Governor Newscum.

2 THINGS

• Big Wind will drive California electric bills further into the stratosphere.

• Big Wind will kill whales.

3 Words

CAN’T HAVE THAT.

Bottom Line

Big Wind must die for whales to live.
