Is there life beyond Covid?
Yes, yes, I know there is life beyond COVID. But it has planted the seeds for so much destruction and evil that I feel compelled to cover it consistently (if not exclusively).
However:
Yesterday on the Tom Woods Show I spoke to the great Saifedean Ammous, who is an expert on Bitcoin and also an outstanding economist of the Austrian School. We covered lots of important ground and answered a lot of your key questions about Bitcoin.
So yes, the old man here can talk about other things. And indeed I have been for the past year.
But man, it’s hard not to keep coming back to COVID.
Today we read this from The Today Show: “Some states with stricter rules are now seeing surges in COVID-19 cases, while many others that rushed to reopen are experiencing sizable drops. The numbers have experts scratching their heads.”
Imagine that.
And imagine it taking more than a full year for them to notice this.
And further imagine consulting only the “experts” who are “scratching their heads.”
Any chance there might be worthier people to be talking to, Today Show?
Speaking of worthier people: YouTube keeps banning them.
Florida governor Ron DeSantis recently held a roundtable discussion with Sunetra Gupta of Oxford, Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, and Stanford’s Scott Atlas and Jay Bhattacharya (the latter of whom I’ll be speaking to on the Tom Woods Show again late next week).
YouTube evidently decided that it’s best for roundtables featuring experts who are advising a major U.S. governor to be kept secret, because they took the video down.
According to the Wall Street Journal‘s editorial page:
In the hour-and-forty-five minute video, Mr. DeSantis and the four panelists lambaste the U.S. coronavirus response as excessively draconian and ineffective. They emphasize unintended public-health harms from lockdowns and school closures, criticize mask mandates and generally celebrate Florida’s response….
YouTube told us Thursday in a statement that it removed the video “because it included content that contradicts the consensus of local and global health authorities regarding the efficacy of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
As an example, YouTube points to a video passage where Gov. DeSantis asks one panelist, Harvard biostatistician Martin Kulldorff, whether children need to wear masks, and Mr. Kulldorff says no. Dr. Jay Battacharya of Stanford adds that masking for children is “developmentally inappropriate.” Gov. DeSantis notes, accurately, that “if we went back a year, a lot of the experts would say that wearing masks for the general public is not evidence-based.”
And of course that’s true. That is flat-out true. Even now, after a year’s worth of propaganda, the World Health Organization itself can muster only this: “At present there is only limited and inconsistent scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of masking of healthy people in the community to prevent infection with respiratory viruses, including SARS-CoV-2.”
That’s the World Health Organization! Did you realize its support for universal masking was so timid? I’ll bet you didn’t. That’s because nobody is telling you.
According to YouTube, the progress of science occurs when certain ideas become unchallengeable orthodoxies, even when they were directly contradicted in the very recent past and even when one of their own authorities admits the evidence for one such orthodoxy is “limited and inconsistent.”
Facebook hasn’t been much better, as we all know.
These behemoths have gone out of their way to ensure that the Fauci line is consistently protected no matter how many times its predictions fail to come true.
This is why I yanked my private group off Facebook. I could see the writing on the wall.
If you want to tell the truth on a consistent basis, you cannot rely on these platforms.
So far, having the Tom Woods Show Elite on MeWe has been a breath of fresh air. Truth can breathe, and we have a great community there.

Still busy beating themselves up over a flu virus. Of course the virus is not the problem it is what governments have decided to use the virus for, CONTROL, that is the problem. Now they have to keep perpetuating the myth that the world is coming to an end, when anyone with even modest intellectual skills can see that it isn’t.
