Hottest Ever Except Not
Dr. John Robson comments on key items from the latest Climate Discussion Nexus weekly “Wednesday Wakeup” newsletter from the claim of the hottest day ever based on computer manipulation of data going back only to 1979 to signs of sanity on nuclear power.
Another conference about rich countries giving poor ones all their money, the EU saying cutting GHGs is going so well we might have to redesign the Earth instead, clean air being bad for global warming, scientists congratulating one another on how good they are at scaring the gullible public.
The independence that comes with lavish government funding, more of Clintel’s critique of the IPCC’s AR6, this time on ECS, and the sun and cosmic rays versus CO2 on climate.

A few years back, some bright, entrepreneurial lads started a company to build double-pane windows for homes. As they were taught at university that CO2 was a remarkable heat insulator, they filled the gap between the two pieces of glass with CO2 gas.
They then confidently brought their brilliant invention to some investors.
The investors asked, “How does your window compare to other windows available?”
Answer from inventors: “Our math calculations predict this will be five times better.”
Investors: “Math is nice, but do you have real world demonstration?”
Inventors: “Not yet”
Investors: “Okay, why don’t you call us when you have actual, verifiable data.? Otherwise, you are wasting our time.”
Post Script – The ‘Inventors’ eventually discovered putting CO2 between the window panes made ZERO difference in heat transfer from inside to outside. Thus, they went bankrupt.

Post, Post Script – The ‘brilliant inventors’ finally discovered the best insulating gas was no gas. The best option was a vacuum between the two panes. No molecules to bump around transferring heat/energy. Thus, a vacuum does not transfer heat by conduction nor convection.

Hi Kevin,
Another bankruptcy coming.Nature abhors a vacuum and soon it will leak allowing water to get between the panes of glass and water is good conductor of heat.
