Hedy Lamarr – Actress Turned Top Scientist WW2
In the 1930s there were many young actresses who started their careers in the age of “talkies” the motion pictures with sound that surpassed the silent picture age.
This began the golden age of Hollywood. But there was a thriving motion picture industry in Europe with a new group of rising stars, such as Austrian Hedy Lamarr, but she would help win World War II.
She admitted that she shunned most interviews because everyone wanted to know about her love life, affairs and marriages. However when it came to her scientific work, she was very readily to discuss her past projects.
