Health Experts: Obesity Fuelling Vastly Higher COVID Death Toll

Health experts have warned that there is a direct correlation between obesity and higher COVID-19 death tolls across the globe, findings that will not jive well with the woke trend to promote being overweight as ‘body positivity’.

The London Telegraph reports that a study of 100 countries by the World Obesity Federation found that 2.2 million of 2.5 million deaths occurred in countries with high levels of obesity.

The study noted that death rates were discovered to be 10 times higher in nations where more than 50% the population was overweight.

According to the study, in countries without obesity problems, the death rate from the virus was no higher than 10 per 100,000 population.

“We now know that an overweight population is the next pandemic waiting to happen,” noted Dr Tim Lobstein, the author of the report, senior policy adviser to the World Obesity Federation and visiting professor at the University of Sydney.

Britain, which has the third highest COVID death rate in the world, also has fourth highest obesity rate. On the flip side, Vietnam has one of the lowest levels of obesity in the world, and also has the lowest COVID death rate.

The new study backs up findings from Lancet published research last year which noted that obesity increases the risk of death from Covid-19 by around 50 per cent.

The findings have prompted stark warnings from the World Health Organisation, with Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general noting “This report must act as a wake-up call to governments globally. The correlation between obesity and mortality rates from Covid-19 is clear and compelling.”

The CDC has also warned that obesity is a clear factor in coronavirus death rates.

All of these scientific facts will likely be ignored by the ‘body positivity’ movement, which promotes being obese as a civil rights cause.

Multinational companies, big tech and the entertainment industry are all on board with the ludicrous woke ideology, with the likes of Instagram promoting obesity while simultaneously refusing content that encourages maintaining healthy fit bodies.

However, studies also show that fat shaming works.

A wide ranging study by obesity experts in 2014 found that a “desire to improve self-worth” was one of the most important motivating factors encouraging people to lose weight.

The fact is if you’re fat, you are 50% more likely to die from ‘COVID’

Obesity is linked to a myriad of other horrendous, life-threatening diseases and conditions, including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, and osteoarthritis.

Promoting ‘fat acceptance’ is as ludicrous as promoting ‘smoker positivity’.

    Is there a virus or not? Stop posting conflicting news. Either the virus has been isolated and purified or it hasn’t. How am I to trust anything that is said if one minute there is no virus and the next there is which is causing the tubbies among us to die. Please could someone respond to this, thank you kindly.

    Fat people consume more than their fair share.

    Eat, drink and be buried.

    Hurbert : Can completely understand your frustration and your questions. Perhaps this interview with Dr. David Martin will resolve your frustration. https://brandnewtube.com/watch/anti-covid-measures-taken-have-been-unlawful-david-martin-planet-lockdown_sP7LzQlqWHW63Ae.html#
    PS . As you know death from influenza and pneumonia has all but been eliminated from the official statistics world wide and as in past years has killed hundreds of thousands and mostly in the elderly and those with other morbidity,s such as obesity etc. The problem with the dumbed down population is the simple fact of no longer questioning the narrative. Sad but true. At least you ask and question the narrative. Best of luck. Peace and freedom. Ray

    “You are what you eat” has some truth in it.
    Most of the western world eats far to many super refined carbohydrates and refined sugar, and have not enough of a varied diet. Most peoples diets are low in high quality protein, fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers!
    Yes, edible flowers like those from basil, borage, chives, courgette, day lily, hibiscus, hollyhocks, scented geraniums, peas, rocket, roses, sunflower, violas and more, why?
    From https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26270801/
    Titled ‘Edible Flowers: A Rich Source of Phytochemicals with Antioxidant and Hypoglycemic Properties’
    Also many edible blooms have high amounts of quercetin, a natural agent that acts in a similar way (though not as strong ) as HCQ. Also see https://myintakepro.com/blog/quercetin-rich-foods/

    I have reduced the amount of refined carbohydrate and sugar laden foods a lot. I’ve lost a little weight (if it takes months or years to put the weight on, it will take while before you lose it again) and am far more mobile with fewer aches and pains. I’ve also reduced the number and types of supplements I have as I am now on a far more nutritious, adventurous, high variety of food type diet. I’ve come to enjoy life more with less high calorific starch and sugar filled meals and have come to enjoy highly nutritious animal offal products like liver, kidneys, as well as oily fish, etc.
    I works for me but I do understand everyone is different and also you can not treat the human body like it was some kind of machine. We are all individuals and our bodies are not just mechanical they are far more biologically complex than that.
    What is plain and simple is that for the very large number of people are eating excessive amount of sugar and carbohydrate while leading a mostly sedentary life — this is a recipe for serious health issues down the line (type 2 diabetes and all the complications that brings, reduced mobility, etc) and probably will help you into an early grave.
    From what I’ve seen, most westerners need to learn to eat less — stop eating just because you’re bored or stressed, drink less sugar-filled sodas and alcohol and exercise more.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Britain, which has the third highest COVID death rate in the world, blah, blah ,blah …
    Britain’s numbers are high because of false accounting! Dying with COVID is treated as dying from COVID, dying of the uncounted flu virus is treated as dying of COVID. The British government has allowed changes on certification for death such that doctors can sign the death certificate whether or not the doctor knew or had ever seen the deceased.
    See BMA document called ‘Verification of Death (VoD), Completion of Medical Certificates of Cause of Death (MCCD) and Cremation Forms in the Community in England and Wales’ where it states
    COVID-19 is an acceptable direct or underlying cause of death for the purposes of completing the MCCD, even without the results of a positive test, and it is important that likely COVID-19 deaths are reported as such via the registrar.
    and
    In order for a doctor to complete a MCCD without referral to the coroner any doctor must have seen (including via video link) the patient in the 28 days before death, or alternatively in person after death. If these conditions are met, then a doctor may complete a MCCD which is sent to the registrar who will record the death and complete the paperwork to allow burial or cremation.
    If these conditions are not met but the doctor is satisfied regarding the likely cause of death, then a MCCD may still be issued but should be clearly marked to indicate that the person was seen neither in the 28 days before death or after death. In such circumstances the case must be referred to the coroner.”
    additionally the BMA requested and I believe have this —
    The conditions above are the subject of a BMA request to government. We have asked that any clinician (not just a doctor) may have attended the patient in the 28 days before death and that this may include telephone (not just video) consultations. We believe this more correctly reflects the reality of the way in which GP teams of specialist allied health professionals deliver care. We have also asked that where no contact has taken place before death that the requirement to attend after death can also be via video link with the funeral director. These are changes that could significantly speed up the certification process and reduce the expected surge in demand on the coronial system, thereby speeding up the process for grieving families and reducing their suffering. We are aware that some coroners have already signalled their local agreement to such a pragmatic approach.
    [My bold]
    This government and the UK’s BMA has learned nothing from the Dr. Harold Shipman case and all the people he killed! see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_Shipman
      Lloyd,
      I wonder who you are referring to?
      The articles and most people that comment here are trying to spread data and information, and as such they seem to be trying to help others who they don’t know. Most wish to have a discussion about the topic in order to flesh out the important details and gain knowledge so that in their live they can make informed choices.
      You Lloyd, on the other hand have no information, offer no insight on the topic, and appear as just another troll issuing insults through your ignorance. As such you appear to be VERY ego driven and self centered!
