GLUTATHIONE: Overview, Uses, Side Effects, Precautions, Doses
Glutathione is a substance made from the amino acids glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is produced naturally by the liver and involved in many processes in the body, including tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body, and for the immune system.
People take glutathione for aging, alcoholism, liver disease, heart disease, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
How does it work ?
Glutathione is involved in many processes in the body, including tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body, and for the immune system.
Uses & Effectiveness
Possibly Effective for
- Nerve damage caused by the drug cisplatin. Administering glutathione intravenously (by IV) seems to help prevent nerve damage and other toxicities from the cancer drug cisplatin.
Insufficient Evidence for
- Cystic fibrosis. Early research suggests that glutathione does not improve weight gain in children with this condition.
- Build up of fat in the liver in people who drink little or no alcohol (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD). Early research shows that taking glutathione by mouth for 4 months might reduce some blood markers of liver damage and triglyceride levels in people with this condition. But glutathione does not seem to improve liver stiffness.
- Liver scarring (cirrhosis). Early research suggests that glutathione does not improve outcomes in people with liver scarring.
- Parkinson disease. Early research shows that using a glutathione nasal spray three times daily for 3 months does not improve symptoms of Parkinson disease.
- A group of eye disorders that can lead to vision loss (glaucoma).
- Aging.
- Alcohol use disorder.
- Alzheimer disease.
- Athletic performance.
- Cataracts.
- Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
- Heart disease.
- A lung disease that leads to scarring and thickening of the lung (idiopathic interstitial pneumonia).
- Osteoarthritis.
- Other conditions.
More evidence is needed to rate glutathione for these uses.
Side Effects
When taken by mouth: Glutathione is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth. There isn’t a lot of information available about its possible side effects.
When inhaled: Glutathione is POSSIBLY SAFE when inhaled. There isn’t a lot of information available about its possible side effects.
When given as a shot or by IV: Glutathione is POSSIBLY SAFE when given by injection into the muscle or into the veins. There isn’t a lot of information available about its possible side effects.
When applied to the skin: There isn’t enough reliable information to know if glutathione is safe. It might cause rash when applied to the skin.
Special Precautions and Warnings
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There isn’t enough reliable information to know if glutathione is safe to use when pregnant or breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
Asthma: Do not inhale glutathione if you have asthma. It can increase some asthma symptoms.
Dosing
The following doses have been studied in scientific research:
BY INJECTION INTO THE VEIN OR MUSCLE:
Nerve damage caused by the drug cisplatin: Doses of 1.5 to 3 grams/m2 of glutathione have been given in a 15-20 minute time period right before chemotherapy treatments.
Also, 1.5 grams/m2 of glutathione has been given over 15 minutes prior to chemotherapy plus 600 mg of glutathione injected into the muscle on days 2 to 5.

Gene altering mRNA JABS are expensive to produce, use for first six months on early adapter sheeple turn them into spike protein (prion) shedders with six months latency period. Then switch ingredients to mostly TOXIC GRAPHINE with 3 month latency period and force injection. Pharma genocide, by any other name is GENOCIDE.

Hi Joseph,
I though of you when I read (https://principia-scientific.com/60-potential-uses-of-graphene/). Had you heard this Turkish company, the new Turkish engineering university, and the companies products?
Have a good day, Jerry

Dr.s M. Hyman and Mercola both indicate glutathione consumed directly is not obsorbed well. Eat a low carb, high saturated fat, high protein diet with HIT weight bearing exercise. Make sure no matter what your age that you can get your ass off the floor and on your feet without using your hands, arms elbows. Practically guarantees 5 more years in ZOG.

You-all are right on, & correct! 100% Whey protein is one of the best precursors to glutathione, & absorbed really well. Keep spreading good information, really helpful!

so adding whey protein to your blender with fruit is a good idea?

Hello Itsme:
Whey protein is top quality protein having all of the necessary amino acids in an easy to digest package. But it is not cheap. As Tracy said it enhances glutathione. Egg protein can also be used (slower assimilation) or you can eat beef which is a dense source of nutrients. Chicken and fish are not as good. Never eat soy as It is not fit for human consumption and contains phyto estrogens (can be eaten if fermented). It is not good to put much fruit through a blender because fruit is essentially sugar and will stimulate a BIG insulin spike. This is what stores the fat and leads to inflammation. all carbs that are not burned initially (thats not much) must be stored in the muscle, stored in the liver as longer term sugar (glycogen) or transported to the adipose (fat) cells. Carbohydrate is not essential and the body is designed to only Handle ap. 4-5 grams in circulation at any time. Protein and fat (don’t cook with poly unsaturated , only saturated) are necessary for the body.

Hello Itsme:
And thanks. For a long time we have been fortunate in this country to have an abundance of food. The same elite that are pushing the fake virus, climate change, wars, social unrest and cultural decline are working on limiting food. Zionist Jew and Nixon handler Henry Kissinger stated: Control the oil and control the nations; control the food and control the people.
It is no accident that Ancil Keys fake lipid low fat high sugar hypothesis was packaged by the McGovern Committee and served to the American people by the grain industry with the help of their shills at the Amer. Heart Inst. and the Diabetes As. The U.S. went from a country in the early 1900’s with almost no heart and artery disease to over 600,000 deaths per year by the early 60’s.
We know from Pottenger’s experiments with cats that a high quality diet not only makes a stronger, longer lived animal but also has an epigenetic effect passed on to the offspring. The promotion of the whole grain (much of it can’t even be digested) vegetarian, vegan low nutrient diet is a deliberate campaign to portray the diet of the poor and malnourished as healthy. The dentist Weston Price went to and studied several remaining indigenous cultures in the 1930’s. All of them had practically no health issues. All of them ate a traditional diet of animal products including the meat, fat, butter and internal organs. These foods are high in the vitamins A D K and E as well as high quality protein and saturated fat. There were no vegetarian societies and there has never been a successful society of vegans. Price’s book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration is still a valuable reference.
The low carb diet and how the body handles insulin, glycogen, glucagon, fats, protein, and carbs is covered in excellent videos by Benjamin Bikman.

I read that oral Glutathione has to be broken down during digestion so as to be constituted.
NAC is a precursor for glutathione.
This is much cheaper as powder.
Crap article? Non article.
Or fishing for commenters to do the article?
Why not link to orwell city, where the people discuss the beneficial effects of NAC in the graphenation/covid thing?
