Farina is an American science educator and YouTuber. He received his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from Carleton College in 2005. After this, he taught biology, physics, and chemistry (specializing in organic chemistry) at an accredited trade university. In 2011, he began to pursue his Masters studies in synthetic organic chemistry at Cal State Northridge, and completed most of his course on synthetic organic chemistry and finished on Science Communication to get the degree.

In January of 2015, he started “Professor Dave Explains“, aiming to create educational videos for all subjects with a focus on making them succinct and with animation that aids in comprehension. He later received his MA in science education from Cal State after pursuing it in 2018, as the education would allow him to make higher quality educational YouTube videos.
“Professor Dave Explains” has over 193 million views. He has videos ranging from economics, psychology, and much more. He also has teamed up with Emile in order to create an AP Chemistry course. In March 2021, he self-published a book called Is This Wifi Organic?

Astounding. Just goes to show that even know-it-alls like Professor Dave can be completely clueless, and I would even say brainwashed, on certain subjects, namely vaccines and the scamdemic, as well as the GHE and ‘climate change’. Good scientists are supposed to have open minds and be willing to question prevailing paradigms and everything they think they know to be true. Professor Dave seems to me to be your average ‘scientist’, not a good scientist. He clearly enjoys tearing down flat-earth types, but I’d like to see him debate a well-qualified, well-researched anti-vax doctor or scientist – I don’t think his belittling approach would go down so well.

It always cracks me up when pseudoscientists like John O’Sullivan and Joe Postma pay lip service to Kuhn and fail to recognize that they themselves are the epitome of what Kuhn was trying expose.
As Kuhn described, the way science works is that academia forms an emotional attachment to a particular model and they maintain that belief until the bitter end, when they eventually die and then some real scientific improvement can be achieved because the pretenders are no longer there to pretend to understand what actually has never made sense.
I have debated Professor Dave in the comments section of his videos, in conjunction with another academic, Robin Bedford. Intellectually Dave is a child. His cluelessness of adiabatic heating is the least of it.
