Endemic ISCC sponsored Fraud prevalent in the Renewables Fuels Industry
No. This is about the fact the Renewable Oil Industry and those whom enforce the rules in the industry have declared that they are allowed to sell you 100 percent fossil and charge you as if they had sold you 100 percent Renewable Diesel.
And these daft dumb, stupid little baby infant rules are all made up by, yep you guessed it, the EU. Pathetic.
UK was supposed to be out of EU, yet we are still beholden to those crazies and their insane ways.
We were supposed to have a Brexit 7 Years ago, why is this nonsense being allowed?????
THAT RIGHT. YOU CAN NOT MAKE THIS UP! You can sum this attitude up with the headline above, “MASS BALANCE MAAAAATE!”
They are allowed to do this, as long as they say, “Mass Balance”. And as quick metaphor summing the whole concept up it is like this. Imagine going into a DIY store and picking up a tin of paint clearly labelled “BLACK!”. It’s even certified & approved on the label. Then you get home, open it up and it is totally pure brilliant white.
When you go back and complain, they tell you there’s nothing wrong and they have no idea why your complaining. “It Mass Balanced Black Mate, ISCC Certified, all in accordance with the rules, now sling yer hook.” “ITS NOT WHITE, ITS MASS BALANCED BLACK MAAAATE.”
That is the kind of sick twisted attitude behind the whole mass balance concept.
This is the new world order folks and it is happening right here right now in the UK and the EU. Brexit or no Brexit, these are the stupid rules being enforced in the UK right now. Trading standards descriptions and fair trade rules no longer apply, not in the renewables fuel industry.
You may be a farmer, you may be an owner of a whiskey distillery, you may work for a chicken cooking company. You can tell yourself you are saving the planet and then pay hand over foot for renewable heating oil from a local distributor, that distributor could even be selling you “ISCC Certified” 100 percent renewable fuel. And yet, it is still well within the rules for YOU to be paying extra and get given a full tank of pure fossil fuel and they are legally allowed to “pretend” that they are supplying you 100 percent renewable fuel.
How does that make you feel? Why did you even bother?
The powers that be have invented an idiotic method of creating fuel called Mass Balance. What this essentially means is that as long as some bio fuel goes into the system, you can sell the same amount of bio out of the system, even if that fuel is not physically linked to that bio at all and you can even sell that bio from the very same exact tank that you are selling pure fossil, at the exact same time you are selling pure fossil.
Your even allowed to issue certificates stating its pure bio. ITS NUTS RIGHT?
So, briefly if you have a big empty 10 million litre tank ready for fuel and you poured in nine million litres of fossil feedstock and one million litres of bio feedstock and blended it all together to get yourself a 10 percent bio blend you are allowed to sell that end product, ANY WAY YOU LIKE.
By this I mean you don’t have to tell everyone it’s a 10 percent bio blended product. Yes under ISCC rules for Mass Balance you are perfectly entitled to completely mis-sell your products to your customer. Your allowed to just lie to everyone.
You can sell your 10 percent blend as if it’s a 100 percent bio blend as long as you don’t sell more than one million litres of it as pure bio blend. (But you can if you want to and promise to add more bio feedstock to the tank sometime you feel like it in the next three months.)
So you are actually allowed to sell three million litres of that 10 percent blend as PURE 100 percent ISCC CERTIFIED BIO as long as later on, you then add two million litre of Renewable feedstock to the tank.
And you can even buy that feedstock from people pulling the same tricks, meaning it might not even be pure bio you are adding as feedstock. Its pure crazy.
You have the situation where haulage firms could be sending oil tankers to a terminal, they ordered 100 percent pure fossil fill up the lorry with 36,000 litres of fossil, fuel be charged for ‘fossil fuel’ and drive off.
Then following immediately another tanker can turn up, TO THE EXACT SAME TANK, literally minutes later say they want 100 percent Renewable, fill up WITH EXACT SAME FUEL and they will be charged for 100 percent renewable, even though they picked up the exact same fuel with the exact same 10 percent blend.
Totally nuts, you cant make this up. Its full on whack job weirdo. Its like something off some daft comedy show, but its not fantasy, its real and its happening everyday. It’s a licence to rip people off and do what-ever the hell you like and it is being abused all over the place in all sorts of different ways.
The thought process behind this mad crazy lunatic system is that, it drip feeds in renewable as a replacement for fossil and so therefore “saves the planet.” What it actually is, is licenced lying and I can see it turning into full on fuel socialism.
By that I mean, everyone gets the same fuel, but different people pay different prices, so whose to say further down the line someone writes a rule saying, “ahh, well off background you come from I see, you always pay the high price.” Even this situation is allowed.
Let’s say the 10 million litres was all sold as fossil, cos no-one was stupid enough to pay pure bio prices. Your allowed to keep the fantasy bio stock on your books as imaginary stock, so when you fill up your tank again, you can fill it with 10 million litres of pure fossil.
Lets say your sales team and advertising drive worked and people came and ordered bio from you. Because you haven’t wound down your imaginary stock on the books, you are still entitled to give them pure fossil, which has not come into any contact with any form of bio processing or feedstocks and sell it to the customer as PURE 100 percent PLANET SAVING BIO, as long you don’t go over your one million bio booked stock in bio sales.
Its full on la la land. Its unreal. The lunatics literally have taken over and are writing some utterly stupid and completely insane rules.
Trade descriptions rules goes out of the window with ISCC Certified mass balance.
You are even allowed to place adverts for your product which are like this.
RENEWABLE CLEANAOIL R100
- Can be used on all gas oil heating boilers.
- percentage Blends to suit you on request
- Entirely produced using ISCC Certified products.
- Can save you GHG emissions of up-to 95 percent helping save the planet
You can advertise your product as above, deliberately giving the customer lesser blends or even pure fossil and it will be deemed that you are doing nothing wrong. Just look at the
above fakevert. Anyone looking at an advert like this, will obviously and quite rightly be thinking to themselves that if they order this Renewable Cleanaoil R100 they will be receiving 100 percent bio, as after all, they haven’t requested a lesser blend right?
Well, they would be wrong, as they can quite easily just be getting 100 percent fossil, which hasn’t touched an ounce of renewable.
I know, it is bizarre isn’t it. Its like you drove to a petrol station, and it didn’t matter what nozzle you lifted, you got the same fuel, but paid a different price. NUTS!With ISCC Certified mass balance all sorts of “little” rules are supposed to be place to give “integrity” to the system so people can “rest assured” that they are paying extra to help the planet and are given the product they ask for, but these rules are all lip service and rule breaking goes on entirely ignored.
OLD FASHIONED UK BRITISH LAWS – SO WHAT EU DON’T CARE! The law which is relevant is the The Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 (BPRs) prohibit misleading business-to-business advertising. This law is written so consumers and businesses can not be mis-lead by misleading claims in adverts and products.
In the ISCC Mass Balance world, these laws mean nothing. So in particular if you called a product and labelled it “RENEWABLE CLEANA OIL R100” which is supposed to give the user some 95 percent savings on GHE, everyone seeing your ad and product would obviously think it is 100 percent bio.
This would give the customer a very strong impression that “RENEWABLE CLEANA OIL R100” is a 100 percent bio product, is by standard made in 100 percent bio batches and if you wanted,
say a lower blend if 100 percent bio did not appeal to you, then you could ask for a lower blend and they would then be able to make specific “batches” of such a lower blend for you.
If the customer was to order “RENEWABLE CLEANA OIL R100” you can see how simple it is that they would be expecting to receive product taken from “batches” of a 100 percent bio
product If a customer ordered this and received say a much lower blend by default or even a zero percent bio blend and a matter of fact 100 percent fossil product, it would be understandable that customer would be upset and even very confused that this could be allowed.
Yet if you pointed this all out they would call you a stupid denier, a planet hater, a tin foil hat clown, get over it flat earther and so on and so forth. “ITS MASS BALANCE MAAAAAAAATE!” God that guy knows nothing?????? “ITS NOT WHITE, ITS MASS BALANCED BLACK MAAAAATE!”
Any sensible person would think it would work as below.
(note it should have read 20 percent bio using the numbers I used.)
In the above sensible method you would see what would happen is that fossil would be blended in various different blends, then those different blends would be labelled as batches and sent to batch tanks.
The numbers all work and you can track and trace the bio through the system to the end user. No problems. What actually happens is this.
In the above you can see, all the numbers start out the same, the totals are the same but the application is all very different. You can see, that in this example the tank could hold only 6 million litres, and it was 50 percent blend.
So the tank had three million bio and then three million litres fossil. However, the bio sales were low, so the whole tank of fuel was sold, but not in the proportions it was made. Say here, sales achieved were 25 percent bio and the other 75 percent of sales were fossil.
So what you are allowed to do, is give out another 1.5 million litres of pure fossil, but pretend to the customer you are given them pure bio and you can charge them as if it was pure bio. When you do this, you increase revenues and save on costs.
This is true driving force. Lets see what happens to sales revenue with each approach. The potential for making profits does exist, depending upon what assumptions you make for pricing. If we
There is no integrity in this approach at all. And it is unachievable to balance it out as the customer is driving sales and therefore how your accounts wind down stock, not batch production. This means you will always be going outside allowed mass balance periods, holding imaginary bio on the accounts.
Imagine if you were allowed to do this with cars. What would happen is the seller could order BMW parts and randomly install them in Ford cars. Over time, they would have built up a whole BMW’s worth of car.
They could then sell a bog standard ford as a top of the range exec BMW, fully certified and everything and hand over the keys to a totally confused customer. “Like, say what?!!”
Its just like the paint. You could give someone pure brilliant white and label it Black, “ISCC Certified Mass Balanced Black.”
It’s pure fruit looped logic. All ISCC Approved.
This is the insane world of ISCC Certified bio-fuels. Renewable Fuel companies are handing people over pure fossil and pretending its pure bio and then making the hapless blissfully unaware customers pay through the nose for the pleasure.
Brexit? What Brexit.
