Elon Musk: ‘AI Is One Of The Biggest Threats To Humanity’
Elon Musk said he thinks AI is “one of the biggest threats to humanity”.
Speaking at the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park, the tech billionaire told PA: I mean, for the first time, we have a situation where there’s something that is going to be far smarter than the smartest human.
So, you know, we’re not stronger or faster than other creatures, but we are more intelligent, and here we are, for the first time really in human history, with something that’s going to be far more intelligent than us.
So, it’s not clear to me we can actually control such a thing, but I think we can aspire to guide it in a direction that’s beneficial to humanity.
I do think it’s one of the existential risks that we face and it’s potentially the most pressing one, for if you look at the timescale and the rate of advancement, I think this summit is timely, and I applaud the Prime Minister for holding it.

Intelligent, really? Misdirection, or silly gossip?
Does anybody really take notice of this guy, or his antics other than in an infantile medium?
You have to remember, his own vehicles have “AI”, and are far from anything that could be classed as intelligent.
Intelligence is one thing, actual reasoning is quite another. In this case It applies to more than just the toy cars.
