Eco-Activist Wants To Ban New Conservatories…While Sat In Hers

A few days ago on Good Morning Britain, an eco-hypocrite said new conservatories on houses should be banned…while being interviewed sat in her conservatory.

Angela Terry, whose company One Home ‘works with the media on climate issues’, said we need to ban conservatories because they…‘act like a furnace for the rest of the home.’

Do what?

Terry, who described as an ‘environmental scientist’, said it was about ‘having a no regret’ policy and protecting the planet.’

Hang on a sec. Banning conservatories will ‘protect the planet’ by preventing homes being warmer? How does that work then?

Warm houses do not cause the outside temperature to go up stupid woman.

Then there was a surprise susprise moment in the interview, when Terry appeared to exclude herself from the rules.

GMB presenter Susanna Reid, for once not peddling the alarmist rhertoric, pointed out the hypocrisy of asking why she can have one but ‘nobody else is allowed one from now on.’

Terry replied that she bought the house with a conservatory already there, so she was exempt from new legislation.

How convenient.

Everyone who has a conservatory knows they can get very hot in the summer, and very cold in the winter. Do we hear anyone saying don’t build conservatories because they can dangerously cool houses in the winter? Of course not.

It appears regulations are being brought in that could make conservatories in the UK much rarer.

From June, any conservatory intended as part of new development will need to show it will not create ‘unwanted solar gain’.

This also suggests applications to build a conservatory on your house are likely to be refused.

Terry explained her wish starting most sentences with the word ‘so’. I’ve heard this increasingly in the last few years. Do people not know how bad that sounds? Two words I was taught at school never to start sentences with are ‘so’ & ‘and’.

Anyway, she said:

‘So our planet is getting hotter and hotter and hotter as global warming takes hold. What we saw in 2019 was temperatures reaching 39C. By 2050, which is only 30 years away, every other summer will be as hot as that summer.

‘So we’re looking at heatwaves and unbearable heat becoming regular. And what conservatories do is they concentrate that heat and act as a furnace for the rest of your house basically. So they build up heat throughout the day so it just makes staying cool in your home much much harder.

‘So that’s the real problem when we talk about future-proofing. Because if a developer is building a house today and putting a conservatory up, you’ll assume that house will be around in 30 years.

‘So it’s about having a no-regret policy. So once they’re up we know people don’t want to take them down, which is fine… obviously, I’m in my conservatory here. When we bought the house it was here, so we’re trying to keep people safe ultimately.’

It seems Terry has not heard of opening windows to cool houses.

She wants to keep people safe. From warm houses?

The logic of that escapes me, as it does Terry from her comments about future temperatures.

How does she know what the temperature will be in 30 years? Is she a Seer?

If she bothered to look at the facts, which she either hasn’t, or won’t, she would know the planet is not heading for dangerously hot temperatures. That has been proven multiple times to be a lie.

Mrs Terry ‘works with’ the BBC on ‘climate issues’, and is rumoured to have connections with Extinction Rebellion, so her call to effectively make homes colder is perhaps not unexpected.

Nothing new here. Politicians banned parties whilst holding their own. In any case by example the activist only needs to deny that she is speaking from a conservatory and if that doesn’t work say it was a conservatory owned by someone else. She could of course request an investigation by the suppliers of the conservatory who would of course produce a factual and independent report. Until then lets all forget about it.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
