“Curse of the Gas Giant” – a Novel Analysis

Is atmospheric phenomena on Jupiter better explained under a new concept of electromagnetic resistance generating heat? Retired science writer and analyst, Edsel Chromie, provides a novel and compelling re-examination.

On April 19, 2017 the Science channel ran a program titled “Curse of the Gas Giant” It stated:

“The NASA satellite probe recorded a temperature of 1,300 degrees F. above the clouds in the area of the auroras of Jupiter. Jupiter is 400 million miles away from the warmth of the Sun. The data defies scientific explanation. We have several pretty nice theories but all of them have problems Scientists need more data before we can really figure out what’s going on with Jupiter. For now. the mysterious heat source on Jupiter remains unknown.”

The narrator said:

“Charged particles from the Sun constantly strikes Jupiter’s magnetic field releasing energy in dazzling displays called auroras. These auroras release one million watts of power. That’s a thousand times more powerful than the Earth’s auroras. It could be that the heat from the aurora could be responsible for the high temperature we see in the atmosphere. The theory seems to fit until scientists examine troubling information in the atmosphere.. The heat from Jupiter’s aurora gets no further than the poles. Something is holding the heat in place.”

But there isn’t anything holding the heat in place. The heat is constantly being generated by the abnormal intensity of the magnetic field where all of the magnetic field current lines of force are concentrated as they funnel into the poles of Jupiter the same way the Earth generates the heat in our atmosphere at the aurora. Again, this data conforms to my concept of radiated electromagnetic wavelengths of energy from the Sun creating heat via the resistance of one magnetic field energy flow to the encroachment of another magnetic field current flow into its territory of influence.

One theory the NASA scientists consider is that the heat can be coming from Jupiter’s core. They said:

“It doesn’t just burn. It explodes continuously and radiates energy out. In December 1995 the Galileo probe plummeted to its doom through the layers of Jupiter’s atmosphere. Before it implodes the spacecraft sends back vital data but the findings only deepens the mystery. The lower atmosphere is cooler, not hot, so it is not heat upwelling from the ground”

In December 2016 the scientists working with Hawaii’s Observatory released new findings that could offer a clue to the mystery. The temperature data comes from the gas giant’s notorious red spot. Dr. Russet McMillan, astronomer, said: “The red spot is an extremely intense storm.”

Matt Genge, planetary scientist, said:

“Could this red spot be blasting the atmosphere with heat ? It is hundreds of degrees hotter than the rest of the planet. The storm could be sending out sound waves that transports energy through the clouds. When the waves reach the upper atmosphere they release their energy in the form of heat.”

This data also proves the red spot cannot be sending heat into the upper atmosphere and it is consistent with my contention that the red spot is not a weather related storm but is the result of a magnetic field current swirling around a huge meteorite that impacted on Jupiter’s surface before the scientists had the capability of detecting and tracking meteors.

On Earth a weather related storm always produces a cooler temperature, not a hotter temperature. So it is the resistance of the swirling magnetic field to the encroachment of the magnetic field of Jupiter and also the radiated magnetic field from the Sun into its sphere of influence that creates the heat and the glowing atoms of gases of the visible red spot.

David Aguilar author and astronomer, said:

“Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system but it is not just a planet like Earth that you can walk on. It is a gas giant. That gas is constantly in motion. It is a very turbulent atmosphere. What strange power source can be at play on Jupiter?”

The turbulence is very obvious with the flowing and swirling clouds in the video tapes of Jupiter. However, if Jupiter is really a gas giant as Dr. Aguilar states, how does the red spot weather pattern and all of the fragments of the Shoemaker-Levy Nine comet remain in place for decades without moving with the flow of turbulence?

 The scientists state:

“We have several pretty nice theories but all of them have problems. Scientists need more data before we can really figure out what’s going on with Jupiter. For now. the mysterious heat source on Jupiter remains unknown.”

The only problem with my theory is the obstinate aversion of scientists to magnetic field energy which they claim is too weak to be relevant. I did my best to encourage scientists to consider my concept of electromagnetic resistance generating heat. In March 1979 the San Diego Union Tribune reported the discovery of a “Superhot Surprise Found on Jupiter”.

The Voyager 1 spacecraft has startled scientists again by revealing that the enormous planet is ringed by superhot electrified sulfur particles, amazingly different from what had been expected.”

Dr. Donald Shemansky, a space scientist from the University of Arizona, said: “We were surprised right out of our chairs”. I wrote a snail mail letter to Dr. John Yardley regarding my concept that the heat is caused by the resistance of the magnetic field of Jupiter to the radiated magnetic field current from the Sun, not from heat per se radiated from the Sun. I received a snail mail letter from the late Thomas A. Mutch, Associate Administrator for Space Science at NASA in response, stating: “Our scientists have been investigating the magnetic field of Jupiter as a source of energy for this plasma. No doubt you will be reading further of these findings.

This abnormally intense heat on Jupiter is only one of many mysteries that have defied scientific explanation for many years that the “Unmeasurable phenomenon – magnetic field currents – can resolve.

I have been consistently offering an explanation of how an invisible magnetic field will both stimulate equally invisible atoms of gases to a glowing state of visibility and also generate tremendous heat in our induction furnaces via the resistance.

My explanations have been published in newspapers and on television since 1978 while NASA and the science community have been decrying the fact that they cannot explain the very same mystery. On April 20, 2017 I celebrated my 92ndbirthday.

While my lifetime is limited, time is still on my side that the science community will finally wise up to the fact that they have been ignoring the most important function of nature that has stymied their efforts to understand and explain the many embarrassing mysteries that remain unresolved in the universe.

I have offered many examples of activities of every day life and the utilization of electromagnetic energy in construction and manufacturing that proves the viability of my concept. I have also been demonstrating exactly how this electromagnetic energy and the resulting magnetic field will positively create all of the phenomena that the science community has publicly conceded that they do not understand and cannot explain. My explanations are properly recorded and dated. Eventually the science community will announce the very exciting discoveries and resulting advancements in science that their cutting edge technology has enabled them to achieve.

Then they will realize that I have explained them many years before. Once the scientists realize that their ionized particles cannot create the bizarre and fascinating optical illusions and that a flow of plasma does not generate electromagnetic energy but a flow of electromagnetic energy will create the plasma, they will finally be able to achieve the advancement of science that they have inhibited for generations by their false beliefs.

I am just disappointed that I may miss the exciting celebrations that will result as these many unexplained mysteries that have been futilely research by thousands of scientist for hundreds of years are finally resolved.
