CICP data for the month of June 2023
The dog days of summer are already upon us. Sort of
This past weekend, HRSA officials released the monthly statistics and data report for June 2023.
And the CounterMeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) with all its millions in appropriations for staff and infrastructure (piles of files with no computerization), announced one more petition was compensable.
Just one.
Remember what HRSA calls compensable is just their way to redefine the word. The best term to use to describe is reimbursement. For medical expenses.
One petitioner received a letter from HRSA informing of a determination that the COVID-19 vaccine caused another case of myocarditis and here is a check for the amount of $3,957.66 for their unreimbursed medical expenses.
Never mind that this petitioner will likely spend the rest of their live with a severe heart condition that may prevent them for participating in many of life’s wonderful adventures without the constant worry of suffering a cardio event that results in the loss of life.
With the announcement of latest reimbursement, the total number of petitions reimbursed is now four. One other was deemed compensable, but had no unreimbursed medical expenses.
HRSA must be very proud to know that they have processed five petitions out of the 11,686 Covid related filings. They have denied 894.
Most of them, 444, because the petitioner did not file in time, meaning 1 year from the date of administration of the countermeasure.
You can read all of the data here.
Petition filings have slowed considerably. Only 120 petitions received as of June 1, 2023. Total number is now 11,806 up from 11,686 from May 1, 2023.
Keep learning, keep challenging yourself and always, always question authority.
