BBC announces new documentary aimed at the vaccine hesitant
A few days ago, the BBC carried an article aimed at those few Brits who have chosen not to have a Covid vaccination, and announced a documentary to be aired later this month to try and change their minds
It is not a long article, so I reproduce it infull, interspersed with my own comments.
The article begins:
Covid-19 is on the rise again in the UK. After multiple lockdowns and more than 197,000 deaths, experts are warning we’re now entering a fifth wave of the pandemic.
But why are so many people in the UK still yet to receive a single dose of the vaccine?
Several points immediately spring to mind. Who are the ‘experts’? None are named.
I wouldn’t call just over ten percent of the adult population ‘so many’. I call that a small number.
Professor Jonathan Van Tam, former UK Deputy Chief Medical Officer, said only last week this rise in cases is NOT a cause for concern, yet these ‘experts’ apparently think it is.
There have not been 197,000 deaths from Covid. Most have been deaths with Covid, meaning they died of something else and just happened to test positive before their death.
Almost 98 percent of deaths have been of people with at least one, and often multiple, comorbidities.
The NHS England website clearly shows the number of people where Covid could have been the only cause of death stands at 5278 as of June 30th.

Look at the column headed ‘NO’. This shows the true figure of how many deaths the virus alone has caused. All the other deaths were of people who had at least one underlying health condition, which they would probably have died of anyway.
In this timely, eye-opening investigation commissioned by BBC Factual for BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, due to air on Wednesday 20 July at 9pm, Professor Hannah Fry seeks to understand why a portion of the population remain unvaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the BBC virus webpage, 93 percent of the adult population of the UK has been vaccinated, and 87 percen have had two, so why are they apparently so concerned about the remaining small percentage?
Is there some reason being withheld from the public that is a problem if there is not one hundred percent capitulation?
If the fearmongering was true, all the unvaxxed and all non-maskers should be dead.
Regarding supposed Covid deaths, the BBC webpage still carries this sentence:
“These include all deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate even if the person had not been tested for the virus.”
So this still means that if I tested positive, and within the next 28 days got run over by a bus, my death would be listed as being caused by the virus. This is how they claim 197,000 deaths.
Professor Hannah Fry is a British Mathematician who worked on the data that helped bring the UK out of its first lockdown. Following the largest UK-wide survey since the vaccine rollout began, she’s on a mission to get behind the headlines and find out what the nation thinks today.
Wikipedia describes Professor Fry thus: Hannah Fry is a British mathematician, author, lecturer, radio and television presenter, podcaster and public speaker. She is Professor in the Mathematics of Cities at the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis.
To fully explore this complex and deeply divisive debate, Hannah will bring seven unvaccinated participants together under one roof to unpack the long-held opinions, beliefs and fears that have prevented them from getting the vaccine.
Together, they will come face to face with leading experts, confronting the latest science and statistics to emerge in the field and dissecting how misinformation spreads on social media.
What the BBC calls ‘misinformation’ is increasingly being shown to be factually correct, so this suggests the presenter and ‘experts’ (again, none of the ‘experts’ are named) will just trot out the entrenched polemic, just like with their coverage of ‘climate change’, that everything the government says is 100 percent truth, and everything the skeptics say is 100 percent lies, or ‘misinformation’.
At the end of the experiment each contributor will be asked if what they have learned has changed their mind, and whether they will now take up the vaccine.
Scientists say we are likely to face more pandemics, and more vaccine roll outs – what will it take to convince those who are unvaccinated to get their first Covid-19 vaccination?
Again, none of these ‘scientists’ are named.
The one person who has said way more than any other that there ‘will’ be more pandemics, is Bill Gates, who is NOT a scisntist. He has NO science qualification.
Tom Coveney, BBC Commissioning Editor, Science, says: “With Covid infections on the rise again, there couldn’t be a more important time to examine the reasons why so many adults are still not getting the vaccine.
According to the BBC virus webpage, which is now only updated about once a week, there has been a 30 percent increase ‘week-on-week’ since around the end of May.
They show this chart, with data from the Office for National Statistics, last updated on July 1st:
“It’s an issue that has torn families and workplaces apart, arguing over the science, the misinformation and the many different ways we’ve all been affected by the pandemic. It’s an explosive debate that goes to the heart of modern life and growing mistrust in the establishment.”
Craig Hunter, Creative Director of Factual, STV Studios, says: “The Covid vaccine is one of the most divisive health debates of recent years and this documentary explores a range of viewpoints in an open and sensitive way.
“Moving beyond the often misrepresented debate, this programme reveals why some people remain vaccine hesitant and, equally, what advocates of the vaccine can learn from those who’ve rejected it.”
This part of the quote from Tom Coveney is perhaps the most important:

I think Tom has hit the nail square on the head there.

This shows just how deluded the BBC are. Do they seriously imagine that ANYONE who has refused the vaccine is going to bother to watch such a programme? We’ve already done our research, have formed our opinions and anything that the BBC tells us is not worth watching.
