An Explanation of Viruses for the Lay Person

It is well known that there is a high number of germs that are found in people who are sick. It is normally assumed that the pathogen enters the body which then makes them sick. However, being ill doesn’t mean that the germ entered first.

Viruses are also found in people who are not sick. These people are called asymptomatic. In fact, everyone has germs in them all the time, which means that they are not always a problem for our health.

If an asymptomatic person never develops the symptoms of an illness normally associated with that disease then they were never sick. This is of course looking at sickness as defined by how the person feels or their bodies reaction to something foreign in it, not the mere presence of something. The presence of the virus then could indicate the presence of something else, the cause of the illness.

There is obviously a difference in our tissues when they are infected versus when they are not. Viruses destroy cells that are not healthy – these ‘germs’ in our body are symbionts – with us when we are not ill. Since our own immune system does the same thing, they are helping out our immune system, as long as their numbers stay low. As stated, some of them excrete vitamins.

Bacteria and fungi excrete. Some excrete things that are not helpful to our bodies and too much vitamins also damage our bodies. So, we need to have a limited amount of them in us for us to be in homeostasis.

Viruses are different than the other germs, viruses are not alive. The theory is that they get into healthy cells and become alive. They then take the genetic material from the cell to replicate themselves. After which they leave the cell and do the same to other cells that they can gain access to in order to spread. Then by what mechanism do they move?

Viruses have no means of propulsion. They are carried by the blood stream, air stream, anything that is moving can move them along. Some bacteria have cilia which they use to move them along in stagnant situations. There is another substance that moves in the same manner as viruses called toxins. A toxin is a substance that is injurious to cells. They can be biological or chemical. The difference being what the compound if made of. If they get inside a cell, then it has to get rid of it or die. The amount and the ability of the cell to deal with the toxin will determine the fate of the cell.

In order for a virus to cause harm to a cell it has to get into the cell. How does it enter? It will have to have some mechanism that can do three things. The first possibility is to tear a hole in the outer membrane. Then it has to repair this membrane before too much of the cytoplasm from the cell is lost which would kill the cell.

It cannot allow the cell to die because it has to take a hold of the DNA material somehow and change it to replicate itself.  There is a problem with the virus using the cells DNA to replicate itself, the DNA would be different from person to person because everyone’s DNA is slightly different from everyone else’s.

That’s the principal behind using DNA as a means of identification. Finally, the virus has to repair the cell on its way out. There is no direct reason for this last part but it is well known that cells do not always die after viruses leave them. None of this explains how the virus enters the cell.

As stated there are no cilia on the outside of a virus. So, it has no means of opening up the cell. The other alternative is for ordinary tissue cells to become something that they are not, phagocytes. Red blood cells show that there is a problem with this idea.

Red blood cells do not become infected with viruses. They have an outer membrane but no nucleus. Since viruses need genetic material in order to replicate then they wouldn’t need to enter the red blood cell. But how would they know that there isn’t a nucleus inside? The RNA on the outside might be the reason but that is a weak argument because it would mean that the proteins on the outside of a virus can understand the RNA on the outside of a cell. We will examine this idea again in the context of toxins.

If a virus is not able to gain entrance by force, then it would have to convince the cell to envelope or otherwise absorb it. But why would non phagocytes become phagocytes for viruses? There is no evolutionary reason for it. The only purpose would be to harm the cell but evolution tends to make things better, more suitable to its environment. So, this is probably not how cells become infected with viruses. But we know that viruses come out of cells.

Toxins are able to get into cells. This is well known. Poisons can be poured onto healthy cells and they’ll be harmed. The reason is because cells need to have a means of getting chemicals in and out of them. The outer membrane is selectively permeable. But since there is no such thing as a perfect system some toxins are able to get in because their makeup is close enough to that which it permits to enter.

Upon entering into a cell, the toxin will begin to harm the cell. This occurs through the reactions that occur as the cell attempts to break it down. Cells have a means of dealing with such things. Items such as vacuoles exist to allow the cell to deal with toxins and other wastes that the cell produces. Ordinary waste just needs to be moved out of the cell but toxins that have not been changed by chemical reactions within the cell cannot simply be released because the cell may take it back in and have the process start over. So perhaps our cells have evolved to deal with this situation.

To move a toxin out and not be allowed to re-enter the cell requires some doing. Every cell expresses proteins. Different cells express different proteins. Each toxin reacts with certain proteins but not with all. If a cell is able to express a protein that the toxin cannot react with then it has building material with which to make a capsule for the toxin. Once enveloped, the cell could then move this packet outside of itself. These packets are what we call viruses.

These viruses, which are toxins enveloped in a protein container, can be detected by phagocytes of the immune system. The phagocytes can devour them and react with the toxin inside, maybe. How much of the toxin that is reacted with depends on the amount in the packet and how much the phagocyte is capable of reacting with.

What the toxin is will have an impact. Since red blood cells do not have vacuoles or other means of eliminating toxins or waste products means that there are no viruses formed within red blood cells. This is a better argument than viruses ripping their way into cells and repairing the damage so that they can reproduce or the idea of turning non phagocytes into phagocytes or deciphering the meaning of membrane RNA.

If the phagocytes cannot react with the toxin that is inside of the virus then it would be excreted back out into the body again. This cycle will continue until the toxin is reacted with or removed from the body. Certain organs can remove certain chemicals and toxins from the body. The kidneys and liver are a couple of examples of organs that are capable of removing toxins from the blood.

It is important for the body to attack and remove these protein containers. It is because if it does not the container will eventually be damaged enough to release its contents. Then the cycle begins again. Vaccines are supposed to assist the body in dealing with the capsule, virus. They cannot prevent the entry of a virus or a toxin. It is well known that people who are vaccinated do get the disease that they were supposedly vaccinated against. The toxin idea of the cause of viral disease is supported by this observation. It is supported because even after being vaccinated a toxin can still enter the person and the person will still develop the virus.

If toxins are the cause of viral disease then it is also necessary to find something that can react with the toxin. Chemicals that react with the toxins are part of the metabolic process. There has been some work in this area with a number of illnesses. Using vitamin C to fight some viruses has been tried. Perhaps the toxin is metabolizing from interacting with vitamin C. How to proceed with the determination of what prevents certain diseases will depend upon what causes the disease.

A good summary of germ theory as applied to viruses. However, many of us are very sceptical of whether viruses are really infectious at all, and if they are, it may be to a minor extent with many other factors being resposible for health. Unless of course, the virus has been artificially created; a possibility that you have explored before on this website. An alternative summary to germ theory would be valuable.

My main idea here is that viruses are produced by cells themselves trying to enclose a toxin of some sort to get it out of the cell and not reintroduce it to itself. I was worried that I hadn’t hit on that hard enough.

So what “toxin” causes measles or any other viral disease for that matter? And why, if a kid has measles, it is contagious to other kids who has not had measles yet? I remember my mom putting let us all slee in the same room when one of us 4 kids got e.g. measles or mumps. If it is caused by a toxin, how is the toxin transmitted from one person to the other?

I don’t know. Once it is discovered how viruses are made can we begin to answer these questions. One of the points here is how is it that viruses can enter a cell. They either break in or brought in by the current theories. Toxins entering the cell seems more logical because there is no evidence that a virus can break in and there isn’t any evidence that a non phagocyte would become a phagocyte. The nature of toxins hasn’t been explored much either.

    Hi PSI Readers,

Chris wrote: “They can be biological or chemical.” It might surprise Chris to learn that whatever is biological is also chemical.

No, I understand that. The difference between chem and bio chem are the chemicals involved. My teacher drove into us that there is a difference.

        Hi PSI Readers,

Do you see that Chris’ teacher was and still is his unquestionable authority? I ask this not to embarrass Chris; I ask it so you lay people are aware there is NO unquestionable authority. That no scientist is an all knowing god.

From your article its appears that lots of stuff is not known as far as what viruses even are much less how they function in the body. Not only can the crooks at the CDC-WHO not isolate or identify the fake virus, they don’t even know if what they assume are viruses are not really just protein particles or other fragments. Since so little is known that makes it that much easier to obfuscate the whole issue with their medical rhetoric and official pronouncements (lies).
You mention that “evolution tends to make things better.” According to geneticist Dr. J. C. Sanford the human genome is getting weaker and adding more deleterious mutations with each generation not getting stronger. It;’s been quite a while since I read his book but as I remember, he used the case of interbreeding that occurred in some of the royal families of Europe as an example of accelerated mutations that demonstrated a negative effect. Sanford stated that practically all mutations involve the loss of genetic material. How is this going to constitute and improvement much less create a new species. There are ap. 5000 mutations in the human genome. None of theme are improvements or beneficial and many are detrimental and some fatal. I also read a book by Dr. Werner Gitt, head of the German Federal Int,. of Physics. He makes clear that contrary to what the evolutionists claim, inanimate objects cannot “evolve” into anything because all organisms must have information programed in from the beginning and that can only come from an intelligent being. It seems that the more they discover the more the theory of evolution becomes more ridiculous.
As far a vaccinations, that has never worked. I recommend the books and videos by Forest Maready and for the history of the vaccine fraud read Dr, Suzanne Humphries “dissolving Illusions.”
