A New Zogby Poll Reveals a Nation in Revolt against Mandates

A new US poll conducted by Zogby Strategies on February 26-27, 2026, shows overwhelming public support for health and medical freedom, with majorities of registered voters affirming core rights to refuse medical treatments, make personal health choices, and protect doctors from censorship – March 4, 2026 EINPresswire.com
The poll, commissioned by the Health Freedom Defense Fund (HFDF) and Brownstone Institute, surveyed 1,000 likely voters (93.6 percent definitely or very likely to vote), with a party breakdown of 37 percent Republican, 36 percent Democrat, and 27 percent Independent.
The margin of error is ±3.2 percentage points.
Key findings include:
- 87.9 percent agree that individuals have the right to refuse medical treatment (58.8 percent strongly agree).
-
87.2 percent agree that the right to make one’s own medical choices is a basic human right protected by law (59.5 percent strongly agree).
-
88.1 percent agree that doctors should be able to discuss vaccine concerns openly without fear of backlash from medical boards (64.5 percent strongly agree—one of the highest levels of strong agreement).
-
80.4 percent agree adults should have the right to refuse vaccines (50.5 percent strongly agree).
-
70.6 percent agree that personal medical or vaccine decisions should never lead to employment denial (47.3 percent strongly agree).
-
76.1 percent agree that health insurance should cover chosen treatments, including holistic and alternative options.
On issues involving children and schools:
- 65.7 percent agree parents should have the right to refuse vaccines for their children or dependents.
-
54.5 percent agree parents should be able to opt their children out of school vaccine mandates (rising to 66.7 percent among parents with children under 17, with 42.8 percent strongly agreeing).
-
65.4 percent agree that college students should not have been expelled for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine (44.4 percent strongly agree).
Retrospective views on COVID-19 policies show 61.9 percent agreeing that lockdowns and restrictions caused excessive damage to American society (35 percent strongly agree).
Additional results highlight broad demand for transparency and accountability:
- 77.8 percent support investigating the effects of certain ingredients used in medical products (such as thimerosal, aluminum, Polysorbate-80, Polyethylene Glycol, and formaldehyde), with 47.8 percent strongly supporting.
-
68.6 percent agree that HHS should conduct additional vaccine safety research.
“These supermajorities are rare in polling and reveal a clear public consensus,” said Jeffrey Tucker, Founder of Brownstone Institute. “When Americans are asked straightforward questions about their own health freedoms and those of their families, they overwhelmingly choose liberty, transparency, and personal choice—core American values that unite far more than they divide.”
Leslie Manookian, President of Health Freedom Defense Fund, added:
“The poll demonstrates that support for medical freedom is not fringe—it’s mainstream. Voters want candidates who protect individual rights, insist on honest science, and hold institutions accountable. This should reshape how political strategists and media view these issues.”

…”93.6 percent definitely or very likely to vote”…why the heck does that matter? Both sides are more tyrannical than ever. I am not voting and I am 100% against any mandates for anything.
