Growing Number of GOP Candidates Pledge to Disavow COVID-19 Vaccine and Big Pharma

COVID-19 and concerns over the influence of pharmaceutical companies on elected officials continue to be a hot-button issue for candidates vying for political office as a movement that began earlier this month on social media garners increasing support.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, a practitioner in Texas and founder of Coalition of Health Freedom, has used her platform on X, to call on candidates in races across the country to make clear their position on whether the COVID-19 vaccine should be pulled off the market and to publicly pledge that they will not accept campaign donations from pharmaceutical interests.

“Want to help? It’s primary season. Let’s replace the politicians who aren’t protecting their constituents,” Dr. Bowden said in a Dec. 17 post on X. “Ask your representatives … publicly whether they stand with 17,000+ doctors to support pulling the Covid shots off the market.”

The movement appears to be gathering momentum. In total, Dr. Bowden says 26 candidates and elected officials from 11 states have publicly signed on, stating that the shots must be pulled from the market.

David Lowe, a combat veteran and current stay-at-home dad who is running in the Texas Republican Primary for State Representative of District 91, told The Epoch Times that he was compelled to make the pledge out of principle.

“It is pretty clear that the numbers and the data behind the vaccine were not accurate and as a result we are looking at what is probably one of the greatest blunders in modern medical history,” said Mr. Lowe. “We started enforcing injections on people without having accurate information and it ended up costing lives.”

“This whole episode has been a dark blotch on our country and there needs to be change and that starts with our elected representatives,” added Mr. Lowe.

John Perez, who is running in the GOP primary for the House District 133 seat in Texas, cited the outsized influence pharmaceutical companies have had on the political system.

“I pledge right here and right now that I have not and will not accept donations or in-kind contributions from Big Pharma PACs or Big Pharma companies,” Mr. Perez wrote in a Dec 17 post on X, responding to Dr. Bowden’s challenge. “It comes down to individual choice and freedom – not the bottom line of big drug companies enabled by egregious government overreach.”
A poll conducted on Dr. Bowden’s social media account of her nearly 300k followers cited more than 94 percent of respondents answering that they would be “more likely” to support a candidate who did not accept money from pharmaceutical companies.

While the poll would presumably be skewed towards more right-leaning vaccine skeptics, it could prove relevant in a GOP primary in which political forecasters are predicting a number of tight races.

Candidates in New Hampshire, Kentucky, and Florida have also joined the movement with more expected as the message continues to spread across social media, according to Dr. Bowden, who says she began the call to action to expose politicians’ true interests.

“If you look at the data on the uptake of the latest COVID shot, it’s clear that most politicians are no longer getting this shot and are no longer giving them to their kids,” said Dr. Bowden.

“It is quite hypocritical; if it isn’t safe enough for their kids or themselves, how is it safer for their constituents?”

“Thousands have died from the COVID shot and no one is doing anything about it,” said Dr. Bowden.

The past two years have seen the COVID-19 vaccines become mired in controversy. The original COVID-19 vaccines were taken by more than 80 percent of Americans after officials pledged that the shots would be effective in both preventing contraction and stopping the spread of the virus.

However, once it was revealed that the shots didn’t work as promised, interest in the subsequent booster shots decreased dramatically.

Vaccines could also be attributed to widespread reports of negative health outcomes believed to have been caused by the shots. COVID-19 vaccines have been named the primary suspect in over 1.5 million adverse event reports, according to the FDA Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database. The numbers could be even higher. An FDA-funded study out of Harvard found that VAERS cases represent fewer than 1 percent of vaccine adverse events that actually occur.

Mr. Lowe says that while GOP voters have a diverse set of concerns, including crime, the border, and inflation, just because COVID-19 is off the front pages of the newspapers doesn’t mean it is out of mind for the constituents he is hoping to serve in his district.

“Conservatives and everyday votes have a growing concern about the vaccines and the influence of pharmaceutical companies on our political process,” said Mr. Lowe.

“We need to acknowledge that there is an issue and that it is something that is going to affect our country for years to come,” he said.

“A lot of people on the other side of this want to move on, but if we don’t take action the next time we have a so-called pandemic what is going to stop us from committing the same errors all over again? Every person running for political office needs to take the pledge.”

Sure thing…as if they are going to swat away the big pharma lobbyist paw that feeds them. They can start by demolishing the 1986 vaccines laws and then I just might think they are serious.

    Hi Tom and Aaron,

You both seem to ignore the fact that it takes a honest politician to admit that he/she has been wrong. And comments such as yours do not help to correct mistakes. And we all make mistakes.

And I ask: did the politicians who founded the USA make a mistake when they allowed certain colonies to keep their slaves in order to found the USA. And it was not a politician who shot Lincoln but it required a Civil War correct was clearly an inhuman mistake. Who doesn’t believe in freedom to be the best person that one can be. Irregardless of what one’s talent is. There is good and there is evil and it is not hard to see the obvious difference between these two obvious contrasts.

NO mistakes were made regarding covid, enabling them with excuses and free passes is not an option for murderers and thieves

      Hi Jerry,
Please, why do you push through these Unicorns such as “Honest Politicians.”
NO POLITICIAN IN THE US OF A HAS BEEN HONEST FOR THE LAST 40+ YEARS.
You see, honesty means “Apage Satana” for the “sources of funding” — is that clear enough?
Anyway, you Jerry take care, OK?
      Cheers, JaKo

        Hi JaKo,

NO POLITICIAN IN THE US OF A HAS BEEN HONEST FOR THE LAST 40+ YEARS.

Do you absolutely know this? Have you been absolutely honest during the last 4 decades? I consider your statement a Lie because I am quite certain you have no personal experience with 1% of all USA of the senators, representives, presendents of the last 40 years. God,use was going to destroy the humans he had created; but he was able to discover one righteous man.

Being a politician in the USA is a thankless job because nearly half of the voters did not vote for you when you won an election. Ponder that fact!

      Hi Saeed,

Thanks for your link. What stood out to me was the remark was that the vaccine was forced upon people. And I have yet to read anyone writing here that was not done in the case of polio, an old disease which had consequences which no one could question. I had 7th or so, classmate who died of it. So when a vaccine became a available no one had to be forced to get it.

But I cannot remember anyone writing lately about the fact. and that many (most maybe) got the second. Because I have significant problems typing long comments these days. So I will leave it to you to review How the second was different than the first and what the consequences of the 2nd are known to have been.

      Have a good day

Like always Jerry…..then there is the real story:
        https://hardball.parkoffletter.org/robert-f-kennedy-jr-forward-to-a-plague-of-corruption/
Dr. Bernice Eddy was an award-winning virologist, and one of the highest-ranking female scientists in NIH history. She and her research partner Elizabeth Stewart were the first researchers to isolate the Polyomavirus—the first virus proven to cause cancer. In 1954, NIH asked Eddy to direct testing of the Salk polio vaccine. She discovered, while testing eighteen macaques, that Salk’s vaccine contained residual live polio virus that was paralyzing the monkeys. Dr. Eddy warned her NIH bosses that the vaccine was virulent, but they dismissed her concerns. The distribution of that vaccine by Cutter Labs in California caused the worst polio outbreak in history. Health officials infected 200,000 people with live polio; 70,000 became sick, leaving 200 children paralyzed and ten dead.
In 1961, Eddy discovered that a cancer-causing monkey virus, SV40, had contaminated ninety-eight million Salk polio vaccines. When she injected the SV40 virus into newborn hamsters, the rodents sprouted tumors. Eddy’s discovery proved an embarrassment to many scientists working on the vaccine. Instead of rewarding her for her visionary work, NIH officials banned her from polio research and assigned her to other duties. The NIH buried the alarming information and continued using the vaccines.
In the autumn of 1960, the New York Cancer Society invited Eddy to address its annual conference. Eddy chose the subject of tumors induced by the polyoma virus. However, she also described tumors induced by the SV40 viral agent in monkey kidney cells. Her NIH supervisor angrily reprimanded Eddy for mentioning the discovery publicly and banned her from public health crisis statements. Eddy argued for publication of her work on the virus, casting the contaminated vaccine supply on an urgent public health crisis. Agency bigwigs stonewalled publication, allowing Merck and Parke-Davis to continue marketing the oncogenic vaccine to millions of American adults and children.
While two drug companies, Merck and Parke-Davis, recalled their polio vaccine in 1961, NIH officials refused to pursue a total recall of the rest of the supply, fearing reputational injury to the vaccine program if Americans learned that PHS had infected them with a cancer-producing virus. As a result, millions of unsuspecting Americans received carcinogenic vaccines between 1961 and 1963. The Public Health Service then concealed that “secret” for forty years.
In total, ninety-eight million Americans received shots potentially containing the cancer-producing virus, which is now part of the human genome. In 1996, government researchers identified SV-40 in 23 percent of the blood specimens and 45 percent of the sperm specimens collected from healthy adults. Six percent of the children born between 1980 and 1995 are infected. Public health officials gave millions of people the vaccine for years after they knew it was infected. They contaminated humanity with a monkey virus and refused to admit what they’d done.
Today, scientists find SV-40 in a wide range of deadly tumors, including between 33 percent and 90 percent of brain tumors, eight of eight ependymomas, and nearly half of the bone tumors tested.

Today, SV-40 is used in research laboratories throughout the world because it is so reliably carcinogenic. Researchers use it to produce a wide variety of bone and soft-tissue cancers including mesothelioma and brain tumors in animals. These cancers have exploded in the baby boom generation, which received the Salk and Sabin polio vaccines between 1955 and 1963. Skin cancers are up by 70 percent, lymphoma and prostate by 66 percent, and brain cancer by 34 percent. Prior to 1950, mesothelioma was rare in humans. Today, doctors diagnose nearly 3,000 Americans with mesotheliomas every year; 60 percent of the tumors that were tested contained SV-40. Today, scientists find SV-40 in a wide range of deadly tumors, including between 33 percent and 90 percent of brain tumors, eight of eight ependymomas, and nearly half of the bone tumors tested.
Just sayin’ Jerry have a great day in your mind.

Don’t fall for it. They aren’t abandoning vaccines for the right reasons. In fact, they still purposely avoid conversations about the patents crossing the blood brain barrier, carbon nanotubes on neurons, body area Networks, or intellectual property claims over humans.
How on Earth can someone purportedly against mRNA vaccines avoid the subjects above? Only by design. The politicians will bring up plasmids and DNA this, that and the other, BUT they refuse to mention the actual goods. Besides that, they routinely cite bogus studies, like the Swedish liver garbage, but never actually dive into the patents.
Let’s not forget, ALL of the phony politicians were in on it.

Trust them and you will be led the wrong way.
Also, remember look up the words they say, even if you think you know them. They like to use alternate senses of the words (double speak/locutions).

Unless they are saying the things that actually matter, they’re deceiving you.
