Kiwi Authorities Raid & Arrest Ministry of Health Employee Who Downloaded & Shared Vax Data

Recently, anti-COVID-19 vaccine activist Steve Kirsch touted the data secured from some form of whistleblower employed at the New Zealand Ministry of Health. His name is 56-year-old Barry Young, and apparently, he breached ministry protocol, rules and likely, the law accessing vaccination data at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand. Reports are from local media that Mr. Young will be out of jail on bail by tomorrow.

What’s the charge?

Mr. Young accessed the ministry’s data system according to the media for “dishonest purposes.” Not entering a plea in front of Wellington District Court today, he went public with the information supposedly given to activists in the United States.

Young was arrested due to the allegation that he was involved with the “unauthorized disclosure and misuse of data by one of its staff members,” reports ministry chief executive Margie Apa.

The New Zealand authorities are concerned that the data was published on an overseas website, likely, I America. While the ministry said the data was anonymized, the government agency secured an injunction via the Employment Relations Authority stopping any publication.

The judge overseeing the case is Judge Andrew Nicholls, reports local media 1 News.

The former health worker pleaded not guilty during his court appearance. It’s likely a breach or violation of various rules and potentially laws if an individual inappropriately or “dishonestly” accessed Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) systems.

The Post reported that he sometimes referred to himself as Winston Smith. He recently went public with the data with a woman who is labeled by some as a conspiracy theorist, and others as a truth seeker—Liz Gunn.

While chatter on X suggests he is a fake, Steve Kirsch vouched for the whistleblower as did the Post which acknowledged he has been an employee at Te Whatu Oral (Health New Zealand). The employer found out about the breach on November 30, the same day activist Kirsch published the data.

Kirsch went on X sharing a link to Gunn who shared in an X video that at 2:15, Young’s house was raided by the police. She said in this emergency video, other whistleblowers are being arrested. In her video, Gunn suggests Winston Peters would promise to support the freedom truth-telling movement and support a full COVID inquiry. Peters holds the position of Foreign Minister. He is part of the New Zealand First Party, which is part of the Coalition Government.

Activist Kirsh reported on his X that Young was arrested at home, yet the authorities were keeping him in jail due to representing flight risk.

Kirsch confirmed that the Kiwi consulted with both him and Normal Fenton and that they confirmed the data. Kirsch said in his tweet that he and Fenton offered to support the whistleblower as he was revealing explosive data that the government needed to understand.

Other sources that TrialSite picked up on are not so sure. Some sources suggest there are challenges with the data. Meanwhile, Gunn may be on the run. Improperly downloading government data is likely a legal violation. TrialSite shares the video here.
