Tonight on TNT Radio’s Sky Dragon Slaying: Stella Morabito, Chris Skates

Live tonight on TNT Radio’s Sky Dragon Slaying show between 7pm-9pm Eastern are Stella Morabito and Chris Skates speaking with Principia Scientific International’s trio of Joe Olson, Joe Postma and John O’Sullivan.

First hour is Stella Morabito, author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer who will be explaining why the Biden administration is gearing up for more lockdowns, mask mandates and repeated civil liberties denial this Fall.

Stella has been a senior contributor to The Federalist since 2014, where she has published numerous articles that focus on the social fallout of propaganda, mob psychology, and the cult mindset.

Her essays have appeared in various other publications, including the Washington Examiner, American Greatness, Public Discourse, Townhall, and the Human Life Review. Stella served for a decade as an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency where she focused on communist media, propaganda, and disinformation.  She has a master’s degree in Russian and Soviet history from the University of Southern California.

Second hour is with the heroic Chris Skates who was given a death sentence shortly after joining the Trump administration in 2019. He defied the odds and poured his message of hope and optimism into his latest novel. Ask Skates how he survived and why he believes “toxic masculinity” is the cure for our Republic.

Skates had left behind a 30-year career as a chemist to become a speechwriter and advisor to then-Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin. He was an energy policy wonk and had the honor of collaborating with the White House a few times on key issues.

At the end of his first month in Washington, Skates was thrilled to have been invited to a White House breakfast meeting. But as Skates made his way up the Metro steps heading to his new apartment, everything went black, and he collapsed.

A specialist would refer Skates to the hematology department at Sibley Memorial Hospital. After a series of blood tests, the doctor informed him that he suspected cancer, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). A painful bone marrow biopsy followed and confirmed the worst possible news.

Skates would undergo the most intensive chemo regimen in use for six months, including 14 spinal taps. Then he was moved to Baltimore and Johns Hopkins for a bone marrow transplant, where he would remain for 66 days. Skates’ son, a haploidentical match (a 50% match) would be his donor.

Skates is in remission and back home in Kentucky near his grandchildren. He is a walking medical miracle.

His latest novel is based on a true-life account. Moonshine Over Georgia: A Novel Based On Actual Events is an eye-opening historical fiction novel. If you like tenacious heroes, exploring the past, and setting the record straight, then you’ll love Chris Skates’ powerful tale.
