UK Government Disability Claims Skyrocket Since 2021, I Wonder Why?
Ed Dowd just sent me a Tweet as I was walking into a coffee shop and it prompted me to do a jaw-dropping double take
It’s amazing to me how much our world has changed for the worst in the last three years.
Prior to 2020, I only experienced such double takes at the sight of beautiful and delightful things.
Now every day brings a steady train of disaster stories and images. Here’s the figure from Ed’s Tweet:
The UK Government website describes PIPs as follows:

PIP was designed to replace disability living allowance, but the rules are much more stringent. For example, the walking distance you need to struggle with, is less than many car park space, to shop doorway distances, so how does that work for a motability vehicle one drives themself?
Despite the claims from DWP it wasn’t to kick people off the scheme, it obviously was.
According to the chart, I guess they might tighten up even more.
