Another great book from Mr. Sowell is The History of the Intellectual. I bought it from B&N with my sister (A UCSF alum and devout Communist). Obviously, not reading Sowell’s columns in the SF Cron, she looked at the cover as we walked out of the store, saw the title, and said: “I thought you were a Conservative.” Hilarious!
